I visited Delray Beach Golf Course this morning and had an incredibly disappointing experience that I feel obligated to share. I arrived with my toddler, who was quiet and well-behaved the entire time. However, as soon as I got out of the car, a "guest" started yelling profanities as he drove by in a golf cart. Initially, I laughed it off, thinking he was just upset about a canceled tee time. I've seen this man frequently, and he's always loud on the range, reacting audibly to his shots. His behavior had never bothered me enough to say anything.
But as soon as I grabbed my basket of balls and pushed my stroller toward the driving range, he started yelling profanities specifically involving the word "baby." I decided to move to the other end of the range to avoid any confrontation. As a veteran who has lost six friends, my visit this morning and also yesterday and the day before was very personal time to me. Memorial Day is a weekend where I truly like to reflect so I wasn't aiming to cause issues at all. I only wanted a peaceful morning with my son.
Shortly after, another individual arrived at the range. I asked if my presence with a toddler bothered him and explained the situation with the aggressive man. He informed me that the loud individual was actually an employee of the golf course, which explained his frequent presence.
This behavior was unprovoked and utterly unprofessional. I understand there may be concerns about children at the driving range, but there are respectful and courteous ways to communicate such policies. Instead, I was met with hostility and disrespect that left me shocked and upset.
This incident not only ruined what was supposed to be an enjoyable outing with my son but also left me questioning whether I would ever return to Delray Beach Golf Course. It's disheartening, as I have been coming here 2-3 times a week for the past two years. I also have a range key membership, which I handed in at the pro shop, stating to keep the remaining funds as I am never coming again. It was an absolutely terrible experience after years of patronage.
I urge the management to address this issue seriously and take appropriate action to ensure that no other patron has to endure such a distressing experience. Until then, I cannot in good conscience recommend this course to anyone looking for a family-friendly and respectful environment. Instead, I suggest visiting Osprey Golf Course, a public golf course that has no...
Read moreIt's been a month and a half since I got married at DBGC and I am still in awe! First off the golf club is beautiful, the staff is wonderful, it has lots of parking, the views for indoor wedding and especially the outdoor wedding are to DIE FOR BUT THE BEST PART OF IT ALL WAS BETH MULLEN! Beth not only did she go over and beyond but she was genuinely and when I say genuinely, I mean it, she was genuinely interested in our whole wedding planning. She's ensured that we knew everything down to the teeny tiny details everyone forgets about. Her vendors list is also great. She's patient, she responds very quickly, she's SO KIND, and best of all she really took her time and made sure we remembered that this day was all about us, not our parents, friends or family, US. I'm forever grateful that I got to experience such a beautiful wedding here and meet Beth.
Food : 10/10- food was seasoned very well, the appetizers were delicious, my guests love it.
Venue: 10/10, I had indoor wedding, very spacious I planned for about 160 guests , went down to 140 and still and so much room. Very mice hotel 5 mins away from venue. It's quiet and duck off from the main road, which gave it an exclusive/private feel.
Catering/day of wedding staff: 10/10: staff is friendly, and fun.
also though it's a golf club, all the golfers and golfing staff are also sweet and respect the couples time and space. I honestly forget it's a golf club because everyone is so respectful of each others space.
** I would choose this venue over and over again. My family and friends enjoyed themsleves so much! Do yourself the favor and stop looking and send an email to set up a day with Beth to...
Read moreWe celebrated Our Wedding Ceremony and Reception here!. My planner was Beth, and she was like a 2nd Mom to me. Everything down to the food was planned out with her. She was really amazing, I honesty felt like she was family and she was even there when I Walked down the aisle. It was an amazing experience from beginning to end. They have great entrees!. I was told by a lot of my guests that their dishes were delicious. The space for the ceremony can be inside or out, but we chose inside as it’s FL and the weather is so unpredictable. The Cocktail Hour was very nice, and the hors d’oeuvres were very tasty! The Dining room and reception area was beautiful, it’s decorated very elegantly which was a really nice touch for our special day. We fit 95 people with no issues. The bathrooms are very spacious and the room where the bride can get ready is perfect. There’s plenty of places to take pictures both in and outside. Its on a golf course so the outside is very well groomed with some beautiful plants and amazing trees. One of our wedding photos ended up in a magazine!. If I could honestly give this place 10 stars I would, and we plan on having our 10yr anniversary/vow renewal here as well! Ty Beth and the Staff from the bottom of our hearts. Only a few...
