Deli takes ages if you decide to stop there 15-30 minute wait and now Kroger is pushing their credit card in store. I really hope this isn't the new norm really don't want to hear a 5-10minute speech about another credit card everytime I go grocery shopping. Hopefully they don't start forcing their employees to push them as a metric. Stopped using pick-up due to lack of communication of if orders are going to be late until it's time to pick up said order. Poorly managed obviously. Too bad too because it's in a great location. Almost worth it to go to Bartonville instead. Update 3-23: Really need a corporate contact at this point. Your employees are going to kill someone. Leaving frozen raw chicken out until its thawed and then marking it down? Yikes, you can mush the "frozen" chicken together its so thawed. Throw it out! Don't kill someone or put them in the hospital due to your negligence Update # 2 Remodel hasn't changed much and now your management is racially profiling people. Clean house and get new people in here.

This has to be the worst Management. All registers closed accept select self service. The new self service registers are closed because I was informed they didn't have codes or anyone available to ring up customers. When I asked for the manager, I was told he was busy unloading a truck. There was no truck in the back when we drove around which tells me he was hiding. We found items that expired in December '22. What if someone needs help due to accessibility/mobility challenges? Nope, no one was available to assist. Absolutely ludicrous.

I get that self checkout is probably more economical, but if there are legit employees standing around talking while the self checkout people are stuck waiting for attendant there is a problem. Either open more registers with staff, or at least make sure that staff are paying attention to the self checkouts. Otherwise the store is very nice after the recent renovations.

If there was an option of no stars, I would do it. Made the mistake of going back to this Kroger (it is the closest grocery to me) and decided to try ClickList and did his 11x over the course of a 6 month period. I’m the typical busy working woman and just have to go with convenience sometimes. I do Clicklist when my week is insane and the time it would take to go in and shop just didn’t work for me and my family. That said, 6x out of 11x THEY MESSED UP MY ORDER! either an item was left off (or 3 items as was the case for my most recent order) or the substitution was way off base (eg; low carb/low sugar yogurt requested and the substitute was full fat/full sugar thus lots of carbs) and my personal fav, they give you completely something else and don’t even tell they subbed it...like when they gave me apple juice (gross to me) instead of orange juice - I’m still scratching my head on that one.

Now, before you hate on me and ask why didn’t I just check the order? Well, when they bring out enough bags to fill my Honda Civic trunk, review the substitutions (yes, I asked them to take back and remove the yogurt)...I am paying $5 for a service that should be flawless and shouldn’t have to check each item. They have it checked off on their list...but alas, It never seems to make it into my car or it’s wrong.. So I call, complain to the manager each time, I waste my time, go back up to the freakin’ store and they bring the item they “forgot”. Their personal shoppers are terrible! They don’t respond to feedback (meaning nothing changes) and couldn’t help but notice on the occasions where I had to go into the store to get something because their substitution stunk, their personal shoppers are average age of 17. Now I’m not saying that there aren’t some wonderful teens out there; but I don’t know about you, It just seems like a stretch of responsibility for a teenager.

Also, they are out of stuff regularly.

Suffice it to say, they have wasted my time and money for the last time. I’ll be driving the extra distance to use Clicklist and/or shop at another Kroger I’ve used and have NEVER had a bad experience there. Again, another indication of poor...

selection was great and quality is fantastic. BUT, as I was entering the store I could not get into the door because a bunch of girl scouts playing (while their moms sold cookies)... Got my stuff I needed and went to check out, had the store manager as my cashier, I assume because it was the day before superbowl and it was very busy, First Question was "do you want to purchase this bag of stuff for the local food pantry" (or something to that effect) I said sure.... I don't like being "sold to" after I have completed my shopping, I went to use my credit card and it wouldn't read... I swiped it several times, he then said "let me see it" as I thought he would key in the number, but no he tried to swipe it several times (just as I had done)... He looked at the card and said "WOW this thing is really old, looks like you use it allot!" he then asked an assistant manager to try it.... and guess what he did... YEP! you guessed it, he tried to swipe the card too!!! they both look at each other (deer in the headlights) So I just pulled out my Debit card and swiped it... Then he has the nerve to say.... "I only use my debit card, it works every time".... (whatever dude!) as I was leaving the store the girl scouts where now playing by the exit... and as GOD is my witness I watched one of them SPIT ON THE GROUND in front of the exit door and they laughed!!!! I looked at the little girl and said "my daughter would be grounded for a month for spitting like that." I went to this store because I was at work, There is a new Kroger closer to my house and I will NEVER ENTER THIS...

Do not order pick up at this location. I place my orders days in advance and for the past 4 months I’ve gotten a call the day of (usually an hour before my selected time) that it won’t be ready and they don’t know when it will be ready. A couple of times they sent a text that it was ready at 9:30 PM when they stop doing pick up at 10. The first 10 times I let it slide because I understand being short staffed but my last order was the last straw for me. I didn’t get a call, I showed up at my pick up time, and after waiting 45 minutes they sent the Starbucks barista to tell everyone waiting that their pick up orders would not be ready today. I went to get my groceries the next day and they gave me milk with an already passed expiration date, mushy fruit, and frozen chicken nuggets that had turned brown inside instead of the normal white meat. Don’t bother trying to talk to customer service. I have always been civil and understanding of human error while trying to explain my experience to customer service but 9 times out of 10, they hang up on me or are immediately rude and defensive. At this point I don’t feel it’s a staffing issue. I believe it’s a management issue due to the fact this has been ongoing for at least 4 months. They do not care. As a mom with a busy schedule and small kids, I used to love that they offered this service. I hope Kroger corporate cleans up the management at this...
