Just witnessed the toaster catch fire at around 845am due to one of the young men at the toasting station not using the toaster properly. There were two young men at the station who had no clear idea what to do and they just stared at the fire watched it grow faster, snickering and laughing. Nothing was done from any of the staff until someone (who I believe to be a supervisor) came to the front and told the two of them to turn off the toaster. She quickly put out the fire. These two young men clearly had not been properly trained on safety procedures, and while the fire was burning for well over a minute, just kept laughing and acting like nothing was happening. It was almost as if they found it more amusing than a serious hazard. After the fire was put out, one of the teens kept wiping the sweat off his head with his glove and then continued to prepare the food. Waited 25 minutes for my food (presumably due to the fire at the toaster), however I was left surprised at the lack of professionalism by these two teenagers. The young woman at the counter was very nice, and the rest of the staff seemed to be on top of their stations. However, I would clearly question whether these two young men at the toaster station should even have jobs there. They put the safety of the staff and customers at risk, and didn't even bother to call attention to the fire. To them, the whole thing was just funny and...
Read moreI moved to Texas from New England and have been struggling to find bagels as good as up North, and so far Einstein Bros. has been the best I’ve found. I like the convenience of being able to order through the app and just walking in, grabbing my order from the shelf, and going. However, I’m always disappointed with the toasting of the bagel. I always order my bagels toasted, but usually it’s only has a little bit of toasting along the edge. Almost seems like they put the spread on the bagel and THEN put it in the toaster, so nothing actually gets toasted. I also wish I had more control of what bagels I would get when ordering a box of them through the app. It lists a set variety of bagels, but I wish I could customize what flavors were in the box when I order. One time I ordered a box, and it wasn’t even the flavors that were listed when I ordered it; they seemed to substitute some flavors for others without telling me. If I had more control over what goes in the boxes when I order through the app and if they did a better job at toasting, I’d give this place 5 stars, but those things leave me slightly...
Read moreI used to be a huge fan of Einstein’s, and was absolutely thrilled to have a location open up so close to me. However, I’m done with this location.
Opening weekend was terrible, but I thought it was probably due to being new and needing time to work out the kinks. Nope.
Went back a few months later, just as terrible.
Stayed away for a good six months and tried again a few months ago. Service was terrible, the bagels were as tough as tires, and they got my order wrong.
Tried again a month ago. Got my order wrong, bagel again was so rubbery that I couldn’t eat it.
Tried today, they again got my order wrong and I swear I will never eat one of their tough bagela again.
I’ve tried drive-thru, I’ve tried counter service, I’ve tried untoasted, I’ve tried toasted, I’ve given plenty of time and tried different options.
Every single time, terrible.
Sorry...
