Cute Cakes and Bakes — Local services in Denver

Our Pastry Artist went above and beyond to make our vision a reality. We had tried several different cakes but nothing compares to this pastry chef's flavor combinations. We had an intimate cake tasting with my now husband and myself. We knew we loved this artists work from the website, and after that first bite we were sold. We just had to decide which flavors we loved the most! We were able to really taste and appreciate the flavors and truly pick our favorites in our own home as a stay in date night. We chose a two tier cake with two different specialty flavor combinations. We were lucky that she was so receptive and made my Pinterest board vision a reality. From the tasting, meeting for the flowers and finally Cake Delivery everything was above and beyond. Everything was above and beyond amazing, we were so lucky to have them as a part of our team for our wedding. I had several favorites and requested color for the fall mountains. The pastry chef provided specific instructions that were followed to a T. Thank you so much for adding to the magical vibes of our Wedding Reception. We had a Summer into Fall themed wedding in the mountains with a reception that included a Halloween theme. The flowers on top were silk flowers from my bouquet. The cake flavors we chose were Fall In Love; Pumpkin Spice cake with pecan pie filling, browned butter cream cheese frosting, and salted caramel. I found Megan randomly and instantly fell in love with the design of every cake in the gallery. We always get cakes from Tony's Bakery but when I stumbled across thecutecakesandbakes instagram I decided to take a leap of spontaneity and try it, especially after seeing a fellow asian creator. Megan was amazing and she accommodated me with barely a 48 hour notice to have a complex lemon cake design done. I can't express how thankful and appreciative I am of her flexibility. She was easy to contact and communicate with, she gave quick consultations, does a no hassle payment system through Venmo which I loved, and the cake it boxed nicely for transportation/delivery. Retrieving the cake was quick and simple.

Additionally, the cake was absolutely GORGEOUS and tasted great! I think in terms of flavor, if you like light and airy flavor intensity versus strong and harsh flavors, this is definitely the person to bake for you. I don't like being overpowered by strong flavors which is what I was worried regarding the lemon cake BUT, the amount of flavor used for the lemon cake was PERFECT. The buttercream literally melts on your tongue while the cake was soft and delicious. We thought the cake was so pretty in person, we almost didn't want to cut it. Overall, my mother in law is a former chef/baker and she was highly impressed. I have already requested that my October birthday cake be made by cute cakes and bakes again I can't wait!...

Megan baked the most wonderful cake for my combined Thanksgiving/birthday celebration. I wanted a biscoff cookie butter cake and she absolutely aced it. The crunchy bits of cookie between layers, the frosting that was somehow both buttery but still light, and the decadent moist cake layers made for an unforgettable cake. Megan was easy to communicate with - she responded quickly and was super professional. Pickup was easy and we couldn't be happier with the results!
