I ate at the North Pecos St. store in Denver, CO 07/20/2014 SUN 09:26. I decided to try it after years of driving by. It was the 2nd worst experience with Mexican food I've had in 54 years! I ordered the B-Breakfast Burrito, Bacon egg and cheese, and 2 green Tamales. The parking lot was in terrible shape. It was full of huge holes from what appeared to be old post holes from a previous drive in restaurant. It took about 7 minutes to get waited on at the register, even though there was only 1 other person in the restaurant, and he was waiting on his food. It took another 10 minutes to get my food. I had just come from a 12 hour shift at work, and church after that. I was ready to fall asleep before the food came out. What I got was NOT what I ordered! First, I got one red and one green tamale. I decided that wasn't worth mentioning and that I would be able to try both flavors. Tamales are supposed to be STEAMED! I got 2 of the driest, crustiest tamales I have ever had the displeasure of eating. I could not even cut them with the unwrapped plastic utensils that were stuffed into an uncovered container at the counter, Disgusting! Anybody could cough and sneeze on them! They were obviously warmed on the cooktop since they were so dried out and tough. Then I ate the burrito. It was the driest burrito I have EVER eaten! I even poured the 2 small containers of salsa into it, and it was STILL dry! They also left out the bacon! What I received was a burrito that had a tortilla that had not been warmed on the cooktop (it still had loose flour on it), 98% potatoes, 1.5% egg, and .5% cheese. NO MEAT! Since I had to wait so long initially, I went ahead and ate the burrito. I was going to tell the staff when I left, but they were all in the back or on the phone. I stood at the counter for several minutes before I finally left. That was $7.09 of the worst spent money I have ever had. The only thing that kept it from being the worst experience I have had with Mexican food, is that I didn't get sick from it! And THAT place actually had flavor in the food! And for your information, Mexican food is probably my favorite type of cuisine. 1 star...
Read moreI ordered from Uber Eats. I ordered for me and a friend and up until this point I have been a loyal customer for ten years. However once I got my food it was very disappointing I ordered three drinks only got two - which I made a point of saying please and thank you when requesting light ice on. Update one of the drinks was not a Mexican soda and I didn’t get it apparently because they were out of ice? so at the end of attempting to finish four day old stale tasting cold chips covered in literally brown guacamole (see pics) I have pictures. And my tacos which were a mess I’m not a Chef but all I’m going to say Is if I wanted an imitation jail house burrito I would have made it myself. I ordered tacos! Also I ordered two churros with a slight upgrade charge because they were supposed to have cream in them sadly both were plain. And to put bad service to the extreme while checking out my receipt after eating most of the meal someone had the nerve from the restaurant if you even wanna call it that at this point. To write a rude snary remark and literally call me dumb on the receipt which I do not think the Uber driver is supposed to give you but I’m sure glad he did. And like i said I made a point to say Please and THANKYOU. so that was just rude adding poor customer service to an unsatisfactory $50 after the delivery charge and tip of food I spent at this dump. I attempted to call them twice to make them aware of the issues and ask for the name of who wrote that the lady refused to give me her name and said someone else was working drive thru and refused to give me their name when I asked for the managers name because for some reason they don’t have a manger on every shift? She hung up on me. They NEED a manager on every shift if they’re going to be giving customers service like that and hanging up on them. They lost a customer today...
Read moreWe (family & friends) have been going here for years and spend $30 - $40, per week...mainly on breakfast burritos, which are decent....when they are hot and not luke- warm, which seems to be the case more and more lately. However; unless they improve their service, REAL SOON, we will spend or money elsewhere. The young Hispanic/Mexican girl at the counter/drive- thru is not very friendly at all and is actually VERY RUDE. I fully understand that people have bad days, but she is like this every single time!! I know there are several others out there that have, unfortunately, experienced her crappy attitude. And this morning for example, they weren't even busy, so Lord knows what her problem is. I asked and paid for 4 extra salsa's and there were 3 total in the bag. I told her this and she hands me one more without saying anything and looked bothered. I then informed her that she still owes me one more, as you get one with your burrito. I honesty wasn't rude at all but if looks could kill... I would be history! There was no apology, thank you, have a good day or anything. She has been there for quite a while now, which is very surprising. Maybe she's related to Management....who knows because I can guarantee you that she has had multiple complaints. She really should not be working with the public and wouldn't last at most places, as her attitude really stinks. It will be interesting to see how this business continues to do, if, they keep her in the same position. Of yeah, I forgot to add that she doesn't even say hi or greet you in...
