Buyer beware. While they do post signs that all sales are final, I never imagined that it would be impossible to return goods that were damaged in loading or that there was no way to see the damage in the way that it was displayed in the store. I happened to see damage as the guys were loading my car, but I had to get back to work and called as soon as I left the store to report it. They said that one item was not returnable and that it was my responsibility to do a full inspection prior to purchase. Pretty hard to do when it was a heavy 9 x 11 rug where the damage was on the backside (tire tracks) and it was covered with furniture on the floor. I also purchased a table with a glass top that on the floor looked great, but I noticed the glass edge was chipped when it was loaded in. I commented on it and figured it must not be visible when it was on the stand. Well after I got home, realized how difficult it was to put the glass back on, it was super clear it was damaged by the guys who disassembled and loaded it. There was no way I missed that in the store. After being passed to the manager, I was told I could return the table but I had to get it back by the end of the day. That was not really possible for me and there was zero accommodation for my needs. I really like what I got but felt I was taken advantage of in the process. Super disappointing. I...
Read moreWe consigned an expensive piece of furniture with this place because they responded very enthusiastically to the photo we emailed. They indicated great confidence in selling the piece at a price we thought was reasonable. It was only after we paid to have the piece delivered to their shop that they explained they had not in their history sold anything at a price anywhere near that which they had suggested. They also failed to disclose (and they confirmed it was NOT on their website at the time) that they apply a 'buyer's premium' to the quoted price. This added 20% to the price they had quoted. Our mistake was not immediately paying movers to have the piece returned. Once they had the piece in their store, the service was horrid. We called several times to see if the piece had sold and were treated like we were causing them great inconvenience. In the end, they failed to sell the piece anywhere near the price they quoted - it sold after it had been discounted twice per their contract. If you are selling cheap suburban junk, this is the place. If you have an expensive piece of furniture, there are much...
Read moreWell I thought I liked this place, I have great success finding pieces for my new home. But after being accosted by unbelievably insane customers, I cannot recommend shopping here to anyone. The stores customers are older, weird and desperate. One lady approached me in the parking lot as I tried to take in furniture to sell, offered me money for my piece and then could not find the amount she offered so she tried to haggle it down in a most rude manner. Drove off in her over sized SUV, nearly running over a pedestrian. Then another shopper attacked me on my way out the door after a purchase claiming to have already bought the item during a special sale. I just handed it to her and asked the store for a refund. The woman scared the life out of me, I think she had the ability to channel evil. The few bucks you might save on items from Ikea and West Elm, and I do mean little the lamp was 50 cents less than the price at Ikea, is not worth losing your inner sense...
