I have had my current La-Z-Boy recliner since 2007. It was given to me by my father who had it since 1990-ish. Well needless to say it was time for an upgrade so I decided to go down to the Denver store on Wadsworth. I was greeted by Paul who was a great sales associate, he walked me through the things to look for when purchasing a chair. As we were discussing the different chairs his manager came over and told him that he needs to go help another couple. Well needless to say I'm shocked that she had done that when she could have just as easily helped the customers herself. I found out that this is normal policy. Well I have worked retail for most of my life and I could tell you the do's and don'ts of great customer service, ladies and gentlemen that is not acceptable. There are other ways to handle that situation for example the manager could have politely asked to speak with him and then told him that he needed to help the other customers as well, she could have helped the customers herself, or (and I like this one) she could have just "Reset" the customers internal clock. What that means is when a customer has to stand in line or wait for an associate their internal clock starts in order to reset this all you have to do is acknowledge the customer and let them know you will be right with them. Anyways I can not condone that type of behavior and even though I was going to purchase a chair I decided to take my business elsewhere. Just an fyi not only did this manager do this to me she blatantly did it to another associate in front of her customer as well. I can't believe that they are so money hungry that they would do that and they can't say it was to improve their customer service.
If you stood in line at a fast food restaurant and as they were taking your order the manager told employee to take the order of the next person in line as well as yours, how would...
Read moreDo NOT USE THIS La-Z-Boy furniture store if you like: To be notified when your purchase is in/ will be delivered If you like your furniture delivered and put together correctly YoU like good communication about issues If you hate making multiple phone calls to multiple people to find out why they havenât dealt with issues related to faults on their end If you like a store manager who recognizes that their salesperson is incapable of solving the problem
We have had issue after issue with this location since we ordered a simple sectional. Both our salesperson Greg and the store manager Rex have been unable to communicate adequately (I have called 95% of the time to try and figure out whatâs going on) and weeks later I have a non-functioning sectional couch because it was delivered without the proper pieces on the bottom to connect it together. I CONSTANTLY call to ask how itâs going to get fixed (on average every 3-4 days) and get false promises and a several changes of plan after the fact. I could never encourage the use of this location because it is not just an issue with the person that sold us the couch ( Greg) but an issue with Rexâs inability to remedy the fault on his end as...
Read moreWorst customer service ever. Paul Fowler, at the Lakewood store, didnât bother to tell us that if you purchase a swivel rocker recliner, the design pitches you forward in the chair. Itâs the MOST uncomfortable chair you will ever sit! In addition, the frame is bent and it sits approximately 3â lower on the right side than the left. Thus, youâre not only pitching forward, but leaning to the right when sitting in it. Paul, who must have told us 15 times in the two hours we were in the store what a top notch salesman he was, didnât bother to point out the problem with this style chair. Just another example of make the sale, and then forget about the customer satisfaction! Timothy, the escalation CS rep, is continuing that policy. The chair is unusable and he wants to give me $200 for a chair no one can sit in! Trust me, go to any store but La-z-boy if you want furniture you can actually use. Weâve had swivel rocker recliners previously from a better manufacturer and they didnât operate like this one. We spent over $8000 on furniture there (sofa and chair) and I will never shop there again!! They have no intention of making it right or keeping a...
