Wing Boss — Restaurant in Lakewood

I wish I would have read the reviews on Google before ordering here. I never would have and regret doing so. We ordered Boneless and traditional wings, each with two sauces. We also got Cajun fries and veggie sticks. When we received the order, none of the wings had sauce on them. All the sauces came on the side. There was an option to choose sauces on the side on the order, and we definitely didn’t. One of the sauces for the traditional wings was missing. Then we opened up the bag literally labeled “veggie sticks”, and it was more fries. The fries were not seasoned and fairly cold. The cheese sauce for the fries was also cold. One of my wings was burnt and had like no meat on it. We called the restaurant to complain, and the woman who answered told us they don’t carry veggie sticks any more. I asked why they were still on the menu and she said she didn’t know. I asked why they didn’t call to tell us. No answer. I asked why the sauces were on the side. “That’s how we always do it”. I again asked why that isn’t put on the menu and why there’s an option to put sauce on the side if it already comes that way anyway. “I don’t know”. I asked to speak to a manager- he apparently left. Who even knows if he exists. And they offered no resolution to the fact that one of my sauces was just completely missing. Avoid this place at all costs!!

As with most reviews of this restaurant - I had a very bad experience eating the food from here. Like other reviewers I ordered on UberEats without reading the reviews first.

I ordered a set of bones in wings that were cold upon arrival and literally crunchy and felt like they had been sitting out for the whole day. The wings were brittle to the touch and even pulling the meat off the bone made an unsettling crunch sound. Gave the benefit of the doubt initially thinking it was possibly the fault of the UberEats driver who took a bit longer to deliver, but then upon opening another order of boneless wings I felt like I had been scammed.

Although I ordered "boneless wings" these were not wings. I would describe them to be on par with chicken nuggets and not good ones. And similar to other reviews I ordered the wings with Buffalo Sauce and didn't receive any sauce on the wings or on the side.

All side items I ordered were sub par - , but after making a 50$+ order I feel that this place should be out of business for providing food that I almost guarantee would have left me sick. Wings should never be brittle, and chicken nuggets should not be sold as boneless wings ESPECIALLY if you aren't going to take the time to include the sauce.

These "Ghost kitchens" inside of these larger chains have potential to provide quick eats with decent food, but this order not only destroyed my impression of "Wing Boss", but also the Dickeys...

How can you mess up wings?!? Well look no further, you have found the place! Start by giving out dry plain chicken nuggets, and tiny containers of sauce for boneless wings. If bone-in wings are ordered be sure to cook them plain, adding none of the seasoning or sauce ordered, and ensure cooking level reaches "jerky".
