I have been a client since February 17, 2024, with my most recent appointment on June 6, 2024. The purpose of my June 6th appointment was to remove the remaining facial hair that was missed during my May 30th appointment. I realize now that booking both nail and waxing services on the same day was a mistake, as the booking system didn’t allow for it. To get around this, I scheduled the services separately, causing my waxing appointment to overlap with my nail appointment. This resulted in Mei waiting, for which I apologize if it caused her any inconvenience. However, during the waxing, it felt rushed. Kamaryn mentioned that any remaining hair was due to goosebumps and suggested tweezing if necessary. During the appointment, I asked if she had another client after me, and she mentioned she had to run to Chino. We finished, and Mei provided excellent service for my nails. Upon returning home, I noticed my sideburns were not fully waxed, and she did not go up as far as usual, which is above my ears. I contacted her with pictures, and her response referenced a condition I had shared, stating hair growth can be inconsistent. Normally, I do not see regrowth until a week later, but I noticed long hairs shortly after the appointment.I requested a follow-up waxing with her, to which she agreed, but she referred me to someone who had never serviced me before.which made me uncomfortable. I felt comfortable with her. I Thought to say never mind but I did pay for a service. My June 6 appointment with Naomi was disheartening. Upon arrival, I said hello and stated my name and she rudely greeted me with “What do you want?”I immediately felt tension. I state my name again and tell her I have an appointment with her she says “Oh, okay follow me.”I informed her that the wax was too hot, and her response was that hotter wax grips hair better. Despite my request to cool it down, she seemed indifferent. She also inquired about a personal health matter, which I found inappropriate. After my session, I told her I still felt hair. Her response is “Yeah, it’s half in and half out.” I’m thinking is she going to tweeze it? Nope, she doesn’t. I deal with very high anxiety, so I find myself getting out of uncomfortable situations as fast as I can without conflict or confrontation. so I left quickly.I spoke to Kamaryn about residue left by Naomi, who dismissed it as just wax. Naomi’s lack of concern was evident, and I felt tension from both Naomi and Kamaryn. Reflecting, I wondered if my previous text was misinterpreted negatively, so I called twice to clear any misunderstandings before rescheduling with Kamaryn. I wanted to discuss the matter verbally to ensure there were no misinterpretations in tone as there might have been in text messages. My intention was simply to inform her that the previous appointment was not thorough, with no harm intended. Both calls were ignored. I texted, thinking she might be busy, but received no response. I would have preferred to be refunded rather than being mistreated. The only reason I can think of for the mistreatment I received from Kamaryn and her team is that I had previously expressed concerns about burns and concerns during past appointments as the paperwork signed during the initial service informs us to. I understand that such incidents can occur with skin treatments. When these issues arose, I chose to discontinue those specific services and continued with waxing, which had previously worked well for me. If these past concerns led to the mistreatment and ignoring, it’s beyond my control. It would have been professional for Kamaryn to inform Naomi about my preferences, such as using honey wax and not hard wax, and ensuring the wax temperature was warm, not hot. As I have not been previously serviced by Naomi, I did not expect any significant differences in her waxing technique compared to Kamaryn. I do not write this review to disparage this business but to prevent other clients from experiencing similar issues and leaving with the...
