It's called Solo Hot Pot so I came solo Pros: pretty sure this is the first restaurant in that plaza for a long time. The food at the bowling alley doesn't count. Should be plenty of parking in the parking lot even with the bowling alley. Worse come to worse there's neighborhood parking. The food is good. I got the kimchi braised beef hot pot. It wasn't what I was expecting to be honest. Was expecting a shabu shabu type of experience, but this wasn't bad. The amount of food you get vs the price is fair, but nothing too crazy. Service is good. People working there are very attentive and happy to help in any way. A decent amount of options to choose from including appetizers as well. Nice decor and setup. Clean. Cons: just not my type of food I guess. I like the more umami flavoring when it comes to hot pot. Never been a huge fan of braised beef either. Probably just personal preference. Maybe more meat in the hot pot. Price compared with the other hot pot options out there are pretty similar.. Jazzcat, boiling point and etc. Bottom line: okay first I need put this out there.. The first review that was written by an older lady before mine... You leave a 3 star review that doesn't provide reasoning for why you gave it.. There isn't anything about the quality of the food or how the meal was at all, service and etc.. You ordered a sandwich appetizer. The place is called Solo Hot Pot not Solo Sandwich.. With a 3 star review you mind as well tell everyone how mediocre the place is and for people to avoid it. Anyways. This place is brand new. Give it a chance and maybe you'll like it. It's definitely not bad, just isn't what I'm personally looking for.

This was my second time dining here! I remember the first time when we walked into this restaurant was random, purely by chance as it was open late which was friendly for us as we got off work late. The decor was pleasant, brings you a coziness and give a clean and relaxing feeling. The server were friendly and attentive while explaining about about to the menu. I finally took the advice and ordered the Sichuan pot. The server also came over during the meal to care about our dining experience. Compared to the first time, they have taken a slight improvement in the recipes. I was pleased with this and I could see the sincerity with which this restaurant treats its customers. The best thing about the food is the freshness and variety of the ingredients. I was surprised that the amount of an ORDER was excellent! I could tasted the freshness from the ingredients themselves, which is the ultimate in cuisine. Overall, I would definitely coming back and recommend to others!

Solo Hot Pot in Diamond Bar is not just a restaurant; it's a haven that resonates with the warmth of a home-cooked meal. Located at 958 N Diamond Bar Blvd, Diamond Bar, CA 91765, this gem offers a unique Chinese hot pot experience that has won my heart and earned a solid 5 stars.

The moment you step into Solo Hot Pot, the atmosphere embraces you with an expansive interior adorned with beautiful Christmas lights. The staff, with their genuine kindness, make you feel like family. As an Asian mom, the sense of hospitality is something I truly appreciate.

What sets Solo Hot Pot apart is their innovative approach – you get to build your own hot pot masterpiece. The menu, a delight in itself, allows you to checkmark your choices for starch options like rice or noodles, protein, and an array of toppings. And all this starts at an affordable $13.99, protein included.

The drink selection is diverse, featuring ASAHI beer, jasmine green tea, diet coke, and sparkling water – catering to various tastes. It's evident that they've thought about every detail, making the dining experience truly special.

Now, let's talk about the appetizers – a burst of flavors and textures. Fried oysters, fried chicken, and fried squid legs, ranging from $6.99 to $8.99, showcase the chef's culinary prowess. Each bite feels like a culinary hug, reminiscent of home-cooked goodness.

The hot pot soups are a symphony of flavors. From organic miso to Sichuan and original dashi, each sip is a journey to the heart of Chinese cuisine. The variety extends to tom yum, green curry, and kimchi-flavored soups. The ability to customize the spice level adds a personal touch to the broth.

The protein options, including USDA Choice Angus beef, tofu, lamb shoulder, and shrimp, are of exceptional quality. Choosing six ingredients from a plethora of options, such as baby corn, pumpkin, tofu, napa, and more, is both exciting and satisfying.

Starch options are equally diverse – udon, ramen, jasmine white rice, and sweet potato vermicelli. The sauces, a crucial part of any hot pot experience, are delightful. The sesame sauce, with its peanut undertones, paired with ponzu and house spicy sauce (basically chili oil in disguise) elevated the entire meal.

Solo Hot Pot took me back to my travels in China, especially the unforgettable Sichuan hot pots. The high quality of food, the enchanting interior, and the affordability make this restaurant a standout choice for any family. I wholeheartedly recommend Solo Hot Pot for an experience that not only satisfies the palate but also...

Hi, if you're ever around Diamond Bar, hit up Solo Hot Pot pronto! This place is a solid 5 stars, and let me tell you, it's a hot pot game-changer. Located at 958 N Diamond Bar Blvd, Diamond Bar, CA 91765, Solo Hot Pot is where you can craft your own hot pot masterpiece starting at just $13.99 (yeah, protein included!). The menu is the coolest thing – you get to check off your starch (rice or noodles), protein, and toppings. Plus, they've got a drink lineup that's on point – ASAHI beer, jasmine green tea, diet coke, and sparkling water.

The staff? Super chill and friendly vibes all around. The place is massive, decked out with gorgeous Christmas lights and a big TV pumping out sweet tunes. Now, let's talk munchies – fried oysters, fried chicken, and fried squid legs were all hitting the spot, and the best part? They won't break the bank, ranging from $6.99 to $8.99.

Now, the hot pot action – they've got organic miso, Sichuan, and original dashi soups that are next-level tasty. And hold up, they're throwing in tom yum, green curry, and kimchi-flavored soups too! You can even dial in the spice level – total personalization, right?

Proteins are legit – I went with the USDA Choice Angus beef, but they've got tofu, lamb shoulder, and shrimp holding it down. And get this, you pick six ingredients from a crazy variety – baby corn, pumpkin, tofu, napa, potato, lotus, quail egg, radish, fish ball, chicken meatball, imitation crab, enoki mushroom – the list goes on!

Starch options are wild – udon, ramen, jasmine white rice, and sweet potato vermicelli – take your pick. The sauces are the real MVPs though. Sesame sauce with a peanut twist, ponzu, and house spicy sauce (AKA chili oil in disguise) – perfection!

This joint brought me back to my China trip, especially those Sichuan hot pots. Overall, Solo Hot Pot is the real deal – top-notch food, a vibe-worthy interior, and prices that won't make your wallet cry. Highly recommend this spot for a foodie adventure that...
