A decent pro shop. Prices are on the higher side and read the no return policy. I bought a Vise joey bag for approx 30% more than I could have got on bowlersmart. And when you pay they will show you the would you like to leave a tip option. I would tip if the service exceeds my expectation but it's not mandatory. The customer service and quality of workmanship here though is lacking.
The first few times I went here they did do an amazing job fixing a cracked plug, oil extracting, and using master quik patch to fix some gouges I got from the ball return.
Now for the reason for the 2 star review
Overseas marvel attack was drilled up by Austin. Gave a ball for them to copy and he did a great job drilling. The finishing work could be better. I think the glue bottle was faulty as I saw them glue a tool to a towel. He applied too much glue on the finger inserts that it was gushing out. Needed a ton of acetone to clean it off. Id like it if he applied the glue very carefully that acetone never has to touch my ball. The owner also said something about drilling a ball in 40mins so they are rushing and not really taking their time. It's about the $$ and not the customer.
I tried another of their driller Eddie out since John recommended him. I brought a ball for them to copy the layout. The layout came out sort of the same but not exact. I did bowl well with it so no big deal but it's not what I asked for. Pic attached. Pin is less than 1" from drilled fingers so voids warranty. What I asked to copy (night road) 5 x 4 x 2 1/4. What I got (road) 4 5/8 x 4 1/4 x 2 3/4
The last ball I got drilled by them ended up getting me banned as a customer. Brought a discontinued UFO alert to get drilled by Eddie and this time the quality wasn't as good as the first. He drilled the thumb hole smaller and was opening it up with a rasp. I noticed that he scraped the ball since the marks match up with the ones inside the thumb hole. He lied and said it was some material from the drilling. Not what I would expect from a $70+ drilling service. I bowled the Monday pattern practice special and it got damaged on the first game. I brought it in ready to pay for the master quik patch repair since they did a great job on a different ball. Eddie said to bring it to the front desk and they'll write it up and do it for free. Eddie said he would personally take care of it. I come back a week after on Monday pattern practice again and noticed the ball has a huge flat spot on it. Doesn't look like master quik patch was used but they just sanded it down. I asked Eddie I thought he was gonna take care of it but he didn't do the work as requested and probably didn't relay the instructions of the repair. USBC rules state this ball is no longer spherical and is technically illegal. They offer me a replacement ball which I agreed to. Only thing wrong with the replacement ball is the holes he drilled intersected and once again voided the warranty. John calls me the next day and banned me as a customer for calling out their poor workmanship and probably...
Read moreCame in just to drill my ball first experience customer service was 10/10. John knows his stuff and is very patient. He had 20 balls to drill and was able to squeeze me in and get me out to the lanes in a timely manner. He also took his time asking if i like the feel and check if the placement was good, honestly any other shop would just drill and sent you home, but not John even a full house he took care of my brother as well and i bought another bowling from him. Keep up the good work John and the team at Pro Approach 💪🏽. Will be back to take advantage of there...
Read moreThrilled at the customer service we received from Matt. He listened to what we wanted, asked questions to make sure he knew what we did not know. The shop is huge with a great selection. I will be visiting this pro shop often.
