Michelle may give off a cheerful vibe to those she favors, but favoritism isn’t leadership. It’s not hard to smile at regulars or those who praise her, but the true test of professionalism is how one treats everyone, especially those with concerns, questions, or different perspectives. Unfortunately, in my experience, Michelle has consistently demonstrated a dismissive, condescending, and at times outright rude attitude. Her tone and lack of accountability do not reflect the standards expected from someone in her position as director. While it’s great that some people have had positive experiences at the Dodge City YMCA, especially with Michelle, I find it necessary to speak honestly. It’s frustrating to see glowing reviews that gloss over these issues and brush aside valid complaints by mocking others as people who “barely lift.” This kind of comment alone speaks volumes about the lack of maturity and respect one has towards others. The YMCA stands for inclusion, community, and support. Let’s hope the current leadership eventually reflects those values, not just for the favored few, but for everyone who walks through...
Read moreUnsatisfied with their customer service. My first problem with the membership on my second month, and the managements comes off strong and very rude. When there’s a problem you don’t (the manager) tell your customer you don’t have a magic wand to fix the issue, because first you are not providing any resolutions until you are asked. If your customer is concern, which we all are when there’s money taken out from our accounts with very little understanding as of why. You have to listen, apologize even if it’s not your fault, but as the representative of the company you work for, that’s your duty. And tell your customer there are ways to fix this and provide the solution to the problem or at least advise it will be reviewed ones charges are posted period !!!! Very sad I had to have this experience on my second month. We should of stayed with Anytime Fitness since they have better customer service, even thou their facility it’s small. But never had this problems even with the pandemic...
Read moreStaff are friendly, facilities are outdated and neglected. The weight room is lacking some serious TLC, not mention the surface area of the gym is equivalent to a single wide trailer house that has like 20 treadmills and elliptical machines packed in there. Every leg machine has either crooked pads and or settings that are locked in and won't adjust. Every machine is literally like 18 inches apart. There's always like 50 people in there and it feels like you have to wait inline to do anything. Dodge city needs to either add on to they're existing facility and fix the damn parking lot, or just build another facility. Literally the worst YMCA I've ever been too. And I travel for work across the state and I've seen my fair share of...
