This artist is so good that I tipped him $70 on a $180 tattoo because it was WORTH $250 and I think an artist should be fairly compensated for their work. I walked in with my own design and it was expertly inked within two hours without the haste you see in bigger shops trying to move customers along. I’ve gotten tats at other studios in the area and can absolutely say that Dragon’s Lair has been my best experience. It’s a chill vibe, good chair chat that didn’t take away from the artist’s focus (or my pain management— this was from my ribs to my hip), excellent music (which matters to me), and this piece turned out level-straight on the curviest part of my body which is impressive. The Second Skin protective tape he applied when it was finished is a total game changer in aftercare and I’ve never been offered that before. The only reason I’m not posting a pic is because it’s so fresh and I don’t want anyone to think it’s blurry due to the protective layer. The linework was crisp as a Granny Smith apple in the mirror. I've had two cover-up tattoos done by Alex, and I couldn't be happier with the results. Cover-ups are no easy task, but Alex is obviously well versed with doing cover ups.
