My daughter was served spoiled chicken in enchiladas. Think about that...they let chicken spoil over a number of days in their kitchen, then served it to a customer who was willing to pay $14 or 15 for an enchilada meal. I don't know about you, but I find that offensive. I came there to enjoy a meal with my family. When my daughter said it tasted bad, I tried it, so I know the chicken was spoiled. They took that enchilada meal off of our bill after we brought it up, but they still served us chicken that must have been at least several days old (how long does it take for chicken cooked in brine to spoil?). My son said his asada tacos were "gross"...he never says tacos taste bad or are gross at any restaurant. They may have been spoiled too, but I didn't try them and we paid for them even though he didn't eat them. We all agreed (my wife included) that this was the worst Mexican food we have ever had...and we have ate at A LOT of Mexican restaurants, including a lot of authentic Mexican restaurants. Also, when we told them our daughter's food was spoiled, they acted like we had done something wrong. They took it off of our bill, but they didn't even apologize. If a restaurant has a culture where it is ok to serve spoiled food, they will most likely serve spoiled food again. So, if you want to know what spoiled chicken taste like (I didn't know), try their enchilada meal.
By the way, I am not feeling very well the day after. Probably from my body dealing with trying chicken that I didn't realize was spoiled. It left the most horrible aftertaste in my mouth that lingered a long time. (And I only ate one bite.)
If you want to enjoy a good meal with your family, try a different restaurant.
Also, this place has prices that are higher than usual. For instance, the enchilada meal was $14 or $15...the same meal at other restaurants in this area are between $11 and $13. Rice and beans only for my other daughter was $6.75. That is on the high side compared to similar restaurants in this area.
And, there was a strong foul smell outside of the restaurant that we could smell when we exited to the...
Read moreI struggled to share the juicy flavorful shrimp with my spouse from my Piña Loco! Cactus is included with their Molcajete and it is a very nice addition. I did not order the Molcajete or the #83 with Chili Relleno, however, those that did enjoyed them. I did sample the cactus and would like to try the Molcajete on my next visit. To my disappointment, there wasn’t any left over from this dining experience. Our waitress was very sweet and did not appear to speak very much English. I was impressed because she did not allow this to be a barrier for her and was able to take care of us without any problems. Not to mention we are learning Spanish and realized we have a lot more words we need to learn. The atmosphere appears to be a family restaurant and I found that to be heartwarming. Our family was giggling while we were trying to figure out how to take the top off the pineapple and put it in the Togo box and we exchanged smiles with the staff as we delighted in...
Read moreWe never see many cars here so we were hesitant to try it out. We arrived and the staff was very friendly and informative. The menu was a little confusing but we found out that we could order just about anything listed on the menu or the posters during dinner time. The cheese dip and salsa were amazing as well as the steak quesadilla and the rancho burrito. That quesadilla was honestly the best quesadilla either of us have ever eaten. It is a homey atmosphere, everything is made from scratch and is fresh, and it is actually authentic Mexican food! We were even given a free sample of cow tongue to try and my husband is beside himself right now because "I tried cow tongue!" Everything was delicious! The margaritas are cheap and tasty, yet leave you with the feeling you are looking for!! Definitely a 5 star rating for us! We will definitely be back no...
