Rude and unprofessional. I found a dresser for $125. I asked one of the employees if they could do $100 for it and after rolling her eyes, looking visibly annoyed, consulting with 2 separate people, said I could take it for that price if I paid cash. Fine. I left, went to an ATM and pulled out $100; I did not account for tax. When I get back, they ring it up and say that my total comes to $109 and some change. I panic, having not thought about tax, and start scrambling in my wallet for more money. I find $7 (2 of which came from a friend of mine who had come with me) and the employee just stood there, staring at me, having obviously just seen me freak out about not having enough and begging my friend to help me out. My friend WENT TO HIS CAR and got a roll of quarters to compensate (thanks, buddy). To sum up my experience: When paying cash, I have never paid tax at a thrift/antique store. Therefore, when the final price was MORE than what we had previously agreed on, i was unprepared. They did not tell/remind me about tax and did not "help me out"and adjust the price when I was $2 short and literally couldn't find anymore money. They were rude, unhelpful, and unfriendly the ENTIRE time and acted annoyed when I had questions. This all happened AFTER I had spoken to someone on their Facebook previously about another piece they posted and they were also rude during that exchange. Against my better judgement, I stopped by in person where the above incident took place.
I am very disappointed in how I was treated and am discouraged from doing business here again. I will also discourage friends and family from doing business here....
Read moreAbsolutely worst experience I've had in Dothan. My wife purchased a few items from them and received no record of sale or receipt. Upon discovering the table was too short for our chairs we called the store asking if we could exchange the table for other functional items or even purchase a larger table and pay the difference. Essentially we wanted to give them more business. I asked to speak to the manager. I was met with closemindedness and refusal to help. She went so far as the tell me the owner of the store would probably just say no so she wouldn't even try. "I'm sorry, policy is policy no refunds." Despite me explicitly stating I wanted no refund, in fact I would make a larger purchase and provide more business. You cannot run a business this way and I strongly urge to think twice about going...
Read moreThe owner called someone about a clothespin bag that didn't have a price. I stood by while she called. I heard her say that the seller wanted $10 and I heard her tell them sneakily, "I'll get you $12". I found my wife in the syore and we went to the cashier. I paid the $12 fir the bag. I then turned and faced the owner and told her. " I heard the seller wanted $10 and you told her you would get her $12. I don't appreciate you adding to a sellers price when you've already been told what to sell it for. " I think she was being greedy and sneaky which I find disgusting as a customer. I will never shop here again and I will tell everyone I talk with that this business is greedy and deceptive. Shame on them. God saw the...
