I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND Fix Ur Crack- I made the mistake of allowing this company to replace the screen on my brand new iPhone, as it had a simple crack. After paying $180 CASH on Saturday May 10th, the screen was replaced for the first time. Immediately after the screen was replaced, there was an Error message on my screen, advising that the product was not compatible with Apple, and the screen was glitching. I advised the technician of this before I even left the parking lot, and I was told to wait over the weekend to see if the glitching would āresolveā itself. The glitching gradually became worse. After calling the store on Monday May 12th, I was assured that I could come back and have the screen replaced for a second time. When I arrive to the store, I was told that the screen was actually not in stock and it was currently being delivered from another store. I left the store, and then returned, hours later, at the time the technician advised it would be in stock. When I arrived to the store for the THIRD time, I was told the part hadnāt been delivered yet. I never received a phone call, text message, email, or any other form of communication advising that the part hadnāt arrived. I then waited for two additional hours⦠it still hadnāt been delivered. When I requested a refund, I was told that it had to be processed in their system and that because I paid cash, they do not keep that amount on hand and someone with higher authority would have to go to the bank⦠I come back to the store the next day to have my screen repaired, once again. (I called and confirmed it was in stock and the technician advised that shipment had came in that day but hadnāt yet opened the box, after I requested, multiple times, to be contacted when the part arrived).
After about 30 minutes after the second screen was installed, my phone began overheating and would not hold a charge. I NEVER had this problem, not even once, prior to Fix Ur Crack installing their screens on my phone.
I have requested, for weeks, to talk to the owner, Ryan Lawson, and he has not returned any of my phone calls or voicemails. Ryan had communicated through one of his technicians that he wants a chance to āresolve the issueā by testing multiple phone screens on my phone (that are not Apple products) to attempt a third screen replacement. At this point, Fix Ur Crack has had SEVERAL opportunities to resolve this issue.
I have requested a refund of the cash that I paid to this business, as they have ruined my device and I have to pay $300 for a new phone. An additional $180 was literally wasted, and when I requested a refund, the company refused, and said they would consider putting my cracked phone screen back on, for the POSSIBILITY of a refund. When I asked if they still had my original, cracked screen, the technician responded with āWell, we keep the broken screens in a bin and I canāt guarantee that itās still in thereā ā¦
I can no longer use my phone throughout the day, as it becomes too overheated. The battery life is nonexistent and Iāve advised, multiple times, to this company that I stay at home full time with my baby and NEED access to a phone, especially in the case of an emergency.
Iāve learned my lesson by never paying cash to a business again, and Iām hoping that someone else doesnāt make the same mistake by using Ryan Lawsonās company, Fix Ur Crack.
Ryan Lawson should consider...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI took my iPad to Fix Your Crack in Dover, Delaware, because they quoted me $140 to fix the screen and said it would typically be done within a day. That sounded reasonable, so I payed & left it with them. Then they went completely silent for three days ā no updates, no calls. Mind you iām in college so i needed the iPad for school. When I finally reached out, they told me there was a hardware issue and that Iād now need to pay $250 to get it āsent outā for repair. The other option? Take my iPad back and get a partial refund of $70. I chose the refund, and when I picked up my iPad, they had done absolutely nothing to it. It was literally just no screen, no repairs, nothing. It looked worse compared to when i dropped it off.
THIS WAS IN NOVEMBER. Fast forward to months later, and Iām still waiting on the $70 refund. ITS ALMOST JUNE. Iāve called them multiple times, and every time they tell me it was āprocessedā and to just wait a few more days. Iāve also asked to speak to a manager more than once, but somehow the manager is never there ā every single time. Donāt waste your time, your money, or your device with this place. Completely unprofessional, disorganized, and borderline scammy. Fix YOUR business, not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent in on a Friday to have them fix my iPhone 6ās battery and charging port for a total of $70. Was working when I left the store. Get home put it on my dresser. Next day doesnāt work plug it in doesnāt charge at all or show anything showing needs charge on screen. Take it back on Monday tell them what happen they look at it and check to see if lcd screen or a different battery. They still couldnāt fix. The associate calls up the guy who originally fixed it on the Friday at the store and as Iām sitting there I hear the go on the phone ask if I am on speaker or not and he wasnāt on speaker and here him tell the associate that is working on it at the time (āto tell him that itās the motherboard so they donāt have to look into it and new chargering ports donāt go bad ever and to have me to go to Apple and have them look at the motherboardā) I was suppose to have a 60 day warrenty on the battery and charging port and you donāt even want to check to see if it is the charging port again. So I told them Iām pretty much out of $70 and they said there isnāt anything they can do. Def wonāt be going to this place again since they canāt even keep the word...
