My family from all over the US went to Orlando to celebrate my brother's 70th birthday. I ordered a cake with another bakery in town two weeks in advance, but there was a disconnect between the website where I was required to order and prepay and the actual baker. I found out four days before the party that the baker could not bake the cake that I requested and paid for.

I found Rachel on Google Maps and reached out. Rachel responded very quickly and expressed her dismay regarding what had happened with the other baker. Rachel graciously agreed to do our cake on such short notice. Rachel and I went back and forth about design and flavors for my brother's tie-dye cake. I wanted a cake that mimicked a lemon meringue pie. I mentioned that my brother is not a big sweet eater, so I did not want a super sweet cake. Rachel made a combination of lemon and vanilla cakes with lemon curd filling and vanilla Italian buttercream. I also mentioned in passing that my SIL has celiac disease, and Rachel offered to make six vanilla gluten-free cupcakes for an amazingly reasonable price. The cake was absolutely beautiful, scrumptious, and matched our theme perfectly. The gluten-free cupcakes were delicious as well. I was in Florida for a surprise birthday for my boyfriend. I did a Google search trying to find cupcakes I could just buy for his birthday. I found Ray Cakes with beautiful pictures so I called. There was no answer but I instantly got a text back about missing my call. I ended up talking to Rachel and explained I was looking for cupcakes. she accommodated my request for 1/2 dozen cupcakes but she went the extra mile and made them fresh and allowed me to have multiple flavors. She delivered them to me on time!!! I was totally impressed by the professionalism and amazing customer service. We immediately tasted one of the cupcakes and OH MY GOODNESS!!! These delicious cupcakes were absolutely amazing, from the soft cake to the delicious smooth icing. The flavor was authentically unique and awesome. The fact that I was from out of town and Ray Cakes went the extra mile to make my birthday surprise even more special on top of the delicious cupcakes was absolutely amazing. I had one cake made for my son's 50th birthday to celebrate while we were on vacation in Orlando. I requested a Hawaiian Tiki theme and Ray absolutely delivered a cake so beautiful we took pictures to enjoy for later. We ate the cake and it was as delicious as it was beautiful and memorable. It served our crowd with a some leftover for the birthday guy to take back to Iowa. I would use Ray's Cakes again which I did two days later.
