Kelly Bros. Lumber + Design Co. — Local services in Dry Ridge

Rating a 1 but actually it is a zero. The service from Kim A at the dry ridge location is HORRIBLE!!! She is plain out rude! Has a sign outside the building that has been recently put up within the last 5 days that says “call a head of time”. I was in there just last week and the sign was not there. So I kindly called and asked when the order would be ready. Kim gets rude with me and says “well are you going to come in? You have to pay for it!”. Obviously I have to pay. When I go in, she does not greet me. Rudely assumes that I was the one that called and tells me my total. Throws my card on the counter. When she gave me my papers, she rudely threw them at me when I left I said “you need to have better customer service” then she proceeds to tel me that my two brothers and I cannot be in there at the same time. Mind you, there was 3 workers and 2 other customers in there. I called up there and the GM wants to do nothing about the situation. This place is A JOKE. I will NOT return to the dry ridge location. I am a local to Kelly Bros store in Dry Ridge, KY. I have been here probably 5-6 times. I hate leaving reviews, and hate negative reviews even more, however, I feel EVERY single time I've been in this place, I wish I would've turned around and left. This company is extremely overpriced and has a very very limited selection. The reason, I am writing this review is because the people/staff/owners are ALL extremely unfriendly and very unhelpful. They seem very "bothered" that you are in their store looking at items. Very strange really... They all seem very unhappy and speak in monotone any time you ask a question. Like it's straining them to answer you. I have even sat waiting in line at the checkout watching them interact with other patrons. Not a laugh or smile to be found in this place! In this day in age, there are A LOT of other choices when it comes to Home Improvement Stores. I doubt this will discourage anyone from going into Kelly Bros.... but you'll NEVER find me coming here......

I always call around to find the best price when buying materials.

I truly believe this place probably has the highest prices in all of Kentucky. Prices are outrageous! I have done the math whenever I get a quote from them and their prices are 15-50% higher than If I just go to Lowe's, Home Depot and Menards. I don't mind spending an extra $3 in gas if it saves me hundreds of dollars to go elsewhere.

The one time I just needed a PVC fitting, it was nice that they were only 15 minutes away when Lowe's is 30 minutes away. But even then, I overpaid. It was just a few dollars so I didn't mind. The staff seemed nice. But if you have a large project you need to get done, stay away from this place.

I really want to support local business, but apparently this local business doesn't want my support.
