The salon layout is simple and impeccably clean. It’s the only tanning bed in the area that offers a leg tanner and all of their beds (even low level) are newer models. You don’t feel like you’ve just laid down in a faded yellow, no fan, hotbox with foggy/destroyed plexiglass. I frequent during the early morning hours. Opening at 8am is brilliant. As a mom with a laid back work schedule, I stop in after I drop the kids to school and get my tan on before I start the main part of my day. The ladies that open the salon on weekdays are amazing. They remember names with faces, genuine conversations, and they’re knowledgeable on products and services however the #1 reason I return is because the ladies go out of their way for customers i.e. I had a baby that we were fostering and it’s been 10+ years since we’ve had a “baby” in our home. Adjusting to the new schedule and what that actually looks like in real life was an adjustment to say the least. The ladies not only offered to watch the baby while I tan but I witnessed them love on and adore him. Pure selflessness for 30 minutes on their end. I don't often take the time to review businesses or my experiences, perhaps because I don't typically find them extraordinary. When possible, I like to try to support local businesses, so I decided to try Tropical Tan. I have psoriasis so I recently joined for the benefits of Red Light Therapy and Halotherapy, Already, I am seeing results! I have been through three $100 creams prescribed by my dermatologist and I'm so excited to see that the healing has begun. The staff is warm and welcoming, and beyond that they genuinely seem knowledgeable. The salon is beautifully maintained, and it's evident that the owners and staff care about the customer's experience. For a small town salon, this place rocks! And the nicest thing? I overheard a private conversation among the employees and they were talking about how great the owners are. When does that ever happen? Happy employees make for a happy business, and this place is definitely a diamond in the rough. I'm glad I opted for Tropical Tan, and for me it's worth the extra driving time. I signed up for a ONE MONTH package 5 months ago!! And they continue to charge my card every month😡😡😡😡🤬🤬. I even told them when I signed up that I did NOT want to keep the card on file. That’s complete bullshit. How can they just keep charging my card when I haven’t been there in 5 months. I’m mad as hell and will NEVER EVER go back there.
