Georgia United Credit Union — Local services in Dublin

I've been with this Credit Union for over 25 years and like it especially when seeking good rates on loans. Unfortunately Georgia United discontinued the "co-op" feature or their association for using other credit unions for members several years ago. When it is necessary to visit a branch, I have to travel over an hour. Because of this I have opened up another credit union account that has the "co-op" feature so that banking is much easier, ready available. This has been my biggest disappointment with Georgia United when they discontinued the co-op associations. Enrolling with another credit union has made me realize there are a lot more features and upgrades available for online banking than Georgia United offers. Had been a customer of this Credit Union for several years and one month the post office must have misdirected a credit card statement that Georgia United sent to me. The month after I did not receive a statement they charged me a late fee and reported the missed payment to the credit bureaus. I called Georgia United and they said they would not reverse the derogatory report that they sent to the credit bureau. I closed my account after this incident. This was the only missed payment I ever had with this credit union and a payment missed for one month is hardly reason to report me to the credit bureaus.
