One of a kind place INDEED! In a state with names like the Granite Bowl, the Brickyard and 'Tween the Hedges' lies this place which is one of the most nostalgic locations in the state and the SE region of the country due to uniqueness of a true bowl construction. Completed in 1962, the Shamrock Bowl, not stadium, is a fantastic venue where there is truly no bad seat in the "house"! You literally feel that you are on top of the action yet so close to the field. And when at capacity of approximately 8,200 people, it is one of the loudest places to watch a game. Combine that with the true natural grass turf (now field turf w/ coconut shelling for filler & a state-of-the-art jumbotron) with a historically passionate fan base rooting on 'The Fighting Irish' of Dublin High and you've got truly a gem of a place to watch a good high school or small collegiate football, soccer or future lacrosse game. The football tradition reigns supreme here at Dublin's historical field of play. The proof is in the visit. Go see a playoff game for yourself! You won't forget or regret the experience.
