I brought my family here two separate times & each time was awkward and it was as if we werenât standing there, it was our first time we were unsure of single games vs hourly and absolutely NO CUSTOMER SERVICE they were on there phones the whole times. Tonight my son and I came and there are two registers open but the young lady said she wasnât open and I had to wait for the next one, the people in front of us were done & received their shoes, I walked up to the register, the young lady seems to be in the middle of still helping someone â doesnât state that but she isâ still says nothing to me, then just ignores me all together and start spraying shoes, Then the other woman asks how many bowling I say I would like to play two games (again I donât know how this really works ) no one is interested in educating anyone coming in that door on the rules of engagement. I pay we get our shoes. We play one game and it says we need to go to Service Desk (I donât want to) I go up and she â says it 1 game person â I was going to say more but decided not to make a scene my son felt uncomfortable & just wanted to go, and now he just wants to avoid the entire place saying letâs just look for a different place off base. This is absolutely ridiculous I saw an old Associate from CYS thinking she was the manager but told me it was a Gentleman and that she could grab him. But I waited and called once we left but he was gone for the day. So Iâm leaving my review. Other than thatâThemâ the food was very good the ladies in the cafe were very nice and explained how we receive our food with a number system that they call out. Atmosphere was family friendly although I donât like how so many lanes were open but we were grouped together. There maybe a system on why they do but again there is no CS to make that...
Read moreWhen they're actually open, it's not bad. However, they clearly state that they are open on Fridays until 10PM, however, if you are not in the "league," they close at 6PM on Friday. I went to take my family there tonight and was turned away just after 8PM because it was "league night." Just state that under your hours of operation to avoid confusion, because it makes no sense to claim to be open until 10PM if you close at 6PM. No mention of league nights or anything like that on the website, you just have to go there and figure it out for yourself. Friday nights are probably the best night for families to come here, due to working all day and not wanting to drive out into town and just wanting the convenience of coming here, especially families living on post. Those families are turned away and have no chance at actually getting here because you get off work at 4:30-5 o'clock, get home, shower, get your family ready, and by the time you get there, you get turned away. Last I checked, this is supposed to be a MWR program, not a money making scheme targeted at bowling leagues. Bad business practice, but what can one expect from a government program? Definitely leaves a bad taste in my mouth and makes me not want to spend my money here. I'd rather go out into town than to...
Read moreThe set up of this bowling alley is horrendous. We looked forward to a fun family activity. We walk in one minute before open and the lanes are almost full with a tournament about to start. Why was the tournament not prior to the 1 open time? Why was the tournament not published so families didnât show up expecting to bowl?
We were then signed on to the âwaitlistâ and told 15 minutes. They chose not to follow the waitlist and let others pay and get a lane before us. When I asked why that occurred, all he said was we donât have any lanes and it will now be over an hour! This is after we waited 30 minutes already.
I am not sure I understand the point in having a bowling alley on base but not having it available to military and their families during...
