Don't take your watches in for servicing. Brought a vintage omega in for a service (nothing wrong with the watch, was purely preventative), was quoted a couple hundred dollars, and after about a month I received the watch back. The watch was returned to me with debris under the crystal, and after only a couple of weeks it stopped working on me.
