I passed here a 1000 times through the years and thought I might like to check it out. This year we made that happen. I work with seniors and we have been twice as a group. On our first visit there was no air and it was 85 degrees in the theater. They explained that they are non-profit and the building is owned by the City of Easley and encouraged everyone to reach out to the city to request air. The 2nd show we attended they had air flowing and it was so much more enjoyable. A local company had provided a temporary setup and they encouraged anyone in the audience with the available resources to contribute to pay for the use and possible continual use of the service. They also had a 50/50 drawing during the 2nd show where members of the audience bought tickets and they later selected a winner. Many of our seniors bought tickets to support the program. None of them won but they were happy for the winner. One of our group left during intermission to go to the restroom and when they returned they had been locked out and had to spend the remainder of the show just outside the doors in the lobby. We didn’t know that was a thing but now we do. 🙃 The senior seating is very limited ( Row P- approximately 10 seats) and there is one single handicap spot near the entry ramp. The shows we saw were Tuesdays with Morrow and Happy Days. Both shows were interesting and enjoyable to watch. I still would recommend this experience to anyone looking for...
Read moreOn Nov 6 we went to see Operation Redneck at Foothills. Chuck W Chapman was the director. And a director he was. We have never laughed so hard in our lives. All the cast were outstanding esp Josh Oglesby who played JJ. At first the play started out a little dull and we were even talking about leaving at Intermission and about that time JJ was on stage and it went straight up hill from there. As I said the whole cast were great but this play was about Rednecks and JJ was 100% that. This is by far one of the best plays we have seen at Foothills. It is MUCH MORE than a B-Sided play. Wish we had seen it the first night instead of the last. We are still...
Read moreA fun place for community theater. We have always found comfy seats and the sound quality is fair. A variety of musicals, dramas and comedies are on offer through the year.
Not great for handicap visitors. There is a ramp at the front but few seats that don't require you to walk up or down steps. The downside of that is there are no railings or handrails to help. So, once we get seated we tend to stay put.
Seating is wide enough for comfort and generally people can walk past you to get to their seats without stepping on you.
Come early to get parking behind the building. A number of steps up outside (with a handrail) and more inside with...
