It's been a long time since I left ZERO tip and I feel I need to explain why. We were seated immediately on the patio where 4 other tables were already well into their dinners. We watched a young teen wait on those 4 tables one painstaking slow task at a time never acknowledging us. We debated leaving at this point and probably should have. Fifteen minutes pass and a nice lady comes to greet us and takes our order. Several minutes pass and our drinks come out. My husband decided he didn't care for his beer so I decided I'd drink it. He waited for our lady to return but she never did. I was nearly finished with his beer before he decided to just go inside to the bar and order something else for himself. By this time 3 of the 4 tables were done and gone and a new couple came in. They also waited for service from the teen who didn't acknowledge us earlier. Somehow, the couple received their app before us (which was coincidentally the same as we had ordered). We had to hail the teen waiter down to get our app (which was great!) and we were told the kitchen tape messed up. hmm....Our entrees took another 30+ minutes. After an hour and 15 minutes, we were just ready to go! Our waitress was behind the bar...I think she may be mgmt/owner as she kept talking with a man we noticed earlier. Also an owner maybe? FYI, while we were getting no service; he stood outside our entire dinner talking on his phone so I hope he is not mgmt cause that makes this whole experience even worse! So, we're done and we just want to go so we flag the hostess down who was now clearing the couples table to ask for our check. As we waited for the check to arrive (which never did), I got up and found my own to go box. Finally, we went inside to the bar and waited again for our check. When we got it we saw that my husbands calzone was $26! The mgr/owner pointed out that the calzone bread is $11 and each topping adds $3. At this point, I signed my $72 receipt, disgusted by the utter lack of service, and walked out. I heard her mutter "fine, don't tip me." While I hate that I didn't tip her it's only because we literally received NO service. Here's a tip - maybe spend less time yapping at the bar and cultivate the staff you have. No one hustled. No one ever asked us if we needed anything. Staff was totally unaware, uninspired, walking slowly towards the next task. The mgr/owner/bartender never even came back to our table after the food was dropped off. I will say their food is pretty good but the rest was an EPIC FAIL and there are just too many other choices than to waste time (or money) at Amicis of Easley. Great concept;...
Read moreHi! We decided to come in last night for dinner. After much consideration, I felt that it would only be appropriate to let management know the situation that happened last night. With it being our first time going to this restaurant, we were very excited and did not know what to expect. Upon getting seated, our server came and took our drink order. I asked her if I could please have another moment to decide on what I would like to drink and she said that she would be back in a few minutes. 10 minutes later, I had to get up and order my own drink from the bar. I have worked in restaurant all of my life so this is not a problem to me and it was only a few steps away. Our server took her order and we waited for our food. Within about 15 to 20 minutes, my salad came out. We waited and waited and waited for the pizza to come out. Our pizza did not come out in the server came by our table and was very apologetic and let us know that our food was delivered to another table and then we would need to wait an extra 10 minutes. We have two small children and at this point we have already been waiting for 45 minutes for food. Approximately 12 minutes later, our pizza came out and everything was fine with the pizza. I waited for my family to get their food before I started eating my salad. When I cut the chicken up and start up my salad, I noticed I was missing ingredients on my salad. The salad only had chicken, lettuce, cheese, and tomatoes. My salad was missing the carrots and the onions. I had to ask the server if she could please bring me there or meet ingredients for my salad so that I can start eating as well. This took approximately 5 to 7 minutes and by this time my family was almost done eating the pizza. Our server took six dollars off of our bill and I do not feel like this was compensated well enough for the time that we spent at this establishment. After everything was all done, we were in this restaurant for over an hour and a half. With us having two small kids, it’s very hard for us to a lot this much time for dinner. Read moreThe service here is absolutely the entire problem, as stated in so, so many reviews. You would think by now, staff would have been corrected on this but every single time the past 2 or so years we have dined here and given it chance after chance, the service hasn't been simply lacking, but outright terrible! My husband and I met working in a restaurant and we give plenty of grace when it comes to those working in the food service industry and love to normally tip generously due to this too, but I don't think I can even express how poor the service quality has consisently been here!
Every time, it takes an extremely long time to be acknowledged by a host and every single time as many of these state, no one will even come to greet you at the table until at least 20 minutes after being seated. Once you do find out who your server is, you realize youve seen them pass right by you without even a glance at least 10+ times as you waited during that 20 minutes.
I'm sorry, but service this bad is absolutely inexcusable at this point! If you are management and can clearly see from these reviews that this is the primary issue not just some, but all the time for so many customers, and such a severe case of terrible service at that, then this should have ceased being a problem a very long time ago! Its obvious this has not been stressed at all to correct to the staff, so you need to PLEASE realize how key customer service is in this industry. Its honestly unreal how this has yet to be taken seriously at all. Saying you intend to provide better service in these responses and actually making it happen are two very different things, and there is no way that any actual corrective effort has been applied, even after so many complaints. I have truly never seen a restaurant with this bad of a lack of even remotely decent service, including fast food. People deserve better, MUCH better especially with the prices they charge for...
