Arva Henna Artist — Local services in East Brunswick Township

Arva did my bridal henna and set things up for Yogi to do our Mehendi party, which was the day before our wedding. I was pleasantly surprised when Arva offered to travel to our house all the way in PA to do my henna. She was extremely careful and meticulous when replicating the pattern that I had chosen but still managed to be amazingly fast. My henna, which was quite extensive was done in 4.5 hrs. She also offered to do a small design on my feet free of charge while waiting for my hands to dry.

With regards to the design, she listened carefully to what I was looking for and was willing to revise the designs as per my requests. A couple of weeks before the wedding, I emailed her the personalized “elements” that my husband and I wanted incorporated, and she executed it perfectly on the day of. Everyone raved about what beautiful, personalized designs they were -- I am thrilled with how nicely it all came out!!

Finally, Arva was friendly and personable and a great conversationalist, so the time really flew by. At the end of the night, she gave detailed instructions/tips on how to get the best color. I received numerous compliments on my henna from family and friends and am really happy I chose Arva to do my bridal henna.

Arva was unbelievably meticulous and very caring in providing my bridal henna. I recently got married and wanted to incorporate many details from my partner's and my relationship into a bridal henna pattern. Arva Incorporated several motifs to making a beautiful, personalized palate that I will treasure for life.

More importantly, she was patient and extremely considerate through the entire process. She painstakingly spent over 5 hours concentrating on the pattern, and was intent to execute a high quality of work - coordinating appropriate lighting, my positioning during application, and post-process actions to ensure the henna would show well. The time applying the henna really flew though, as Arva filled the hours with stories and lived experiences, as well as wishing me well on my upcoming wedding. It's now been over a week, and the henna is still very clear! Her team uses high-quality materials that clearly exceed the average henna I've received in similar family functions.

I enjoyed my henna experience with Arva! I felt comfortable at her home studio, it was set up nicely for an enjoyable experience.

She got back to me the same day after I emailed her with questions about availability and pricing. I appreciated, that she made herself available after making the appointment, because I had a few questions the day before my appointment and after my appointment.

Arva gave me tips on how to prep my skin to get the best results before my appointment, and during my appointment she gave me many tips to help keep my henna stain longer. I appreciated her sharing with me, so I could get the most out of my design!

My flower design is very pretty, Arva did it all free hand, even with my foot moving at times, she was still able to do a beautiful job! It's been almost 24 hours, and it has darkened, and think it might darken a little more. I kept the henna paste on for 11 hours or a little more, before I removed it. I also applied the sugar and lemon juice on it yesterday, once I confirmed with her I could do it as soon as I got home. My trip home was over an hour with traffic, so it was definitely dry by then.
