Constantly Custom Tattoo and Piercing Studio — Local services in East Brunswick Township

Full disclosure: This experience was more about my experience with one artist rather than the shop, so take it with a grain of salt.

Originally I had gotten my left sleeve done by Adam from a different shop, which I was pleased with so I wanted to naturally go to him for the other arm. I had an initial theme and rough sketch of how I wanted the sleeve to look which was forgotten several times despite me sending the information on multiple occasions. In addition, he rescheduled with me 4-5 times over the course of 2 months (despite doing work for other clients). I'm a generally patient guy, and am as empathetic as the next guy to independent struggles, but he started to abuse it. Patiently waiting for my appointment to accurately come to fruition, I requested to see the sketches of the tattoos an appropriate amount of time beforehand. The only thing I received seeking that certainty was being ignored.

In sum: The cancelations, doubling of a deposit that never came to fruition, and lack of communication is what put the nail in the coffin for me. I gave the benefit of the doubt most of the time throughout the process, (not including recent troubles) but I can't recommend this experience to anyone. I wish them luck and hope their situation gets better, but I'm going to have to go elsewhere for my ink. I'm not going to chase someone around to give them a permanent...

I've known Zach for nearly 15 years, 10 of which he has been actively tattooing and I can honestly say you'll never meet anyone like him. He is naturally laid back and easy to talk too which makes your comfort level top notch let alone he is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about his work. With a feather-like touch, I trusted Zach entirely to free-hand some artwork on me and I am blown away by the result. The shop is brand new, clean, professional and welcoming with a friendly environment. With attractive curb appeal, located on a busy Rt.18 makes it prime for anyone looking to sweep on in. I will be coming back for more and referring any potential clients their way. Prices are legit he is very up front about wanting you to leave satisfied while other shops do mediocre work for astronomical prices; here you'll be sure you get your money's worth, better yet you won't regret it. EDIT: I had to knock down 2 stars because I've unfortunately had problems with the jewelry. While the service was great, the jewelry just seems to be low-quality. The gem fell out of the jewelry in my helix piercing a few weeks after I got it done. I called the studio and no one answered so I decided to drive over. Doors locked, no sign on the door or notice online that they were closed. I had to go to another piercing place to get the gem tightened. Later on I ended up getting the jewelry replaced where they told me the diamond was fake and it was poor quality jewelry. Then I went back to get my upper lobe pierced and they told me about a new kind of push pin jewelry where I could insert the front without changing the post. I got a moon design that was so pretty but kept turning no matter what. All the friction caused the piercing to become very irritated, bleed and develop scar tissue, even years later. I ended up removing it and putting a retainer in to let it heal, but it closed not even two...
