Clean and lots of unique stuffs that you don’t find anywhere else in Connecticut. This store mainly focuses on Thai groceries but also has Japanese/Korean groceries plus snacks and cute imported merchandises. The Whale Tea is also inside the store. This store is frequently replacing/moving furnitures around and sometimes even a few shelves around. At one point they did an extensive renovation. Photos you see from all of these reviewers may look different from one another but it's all from the same place. I love the presentation and arrangement of this store. It feels like a mini Japanese market place store (or even mini H Mart) where everything are nicely and neatly presented and shelved. This is so far the prettiest and cleanest Asian store I had seen in Connecticut.

Side note: Beware of one middle age lady behind The Whale Tea is grumpy and she has a bit attitude problem. Skip her and use the Kiosk to order just to get in and get out. The young Whale Tea staffs in Milford next to G-Mart are much friendlier and pleasant to deal with.

Great Asian store with a fresh selections of Asian produce and fruits. Complete selections for all type of asian cooking ingredients, be it Thai, chinese, Vietnamese or Laotians. Their frozen selections are also massive. Price is reasonable. You could also get freshly prepared meals as they have a large kitchen in the back to prepare it. You could also get a hard to find asian selections of roots here such as Taro roots. The place is clean and the aisle are wide, comfortable enough to maneuver with shopping carts. The locations is located in strip mall adjacent to CVS pharmacy, so there is plenty of parking. It is located on route 80 in East Haven, right across the Shop Rite Plaza.
