Pho Zaaap — Restaurant in East Haven

Let me tell u guys. We eat here once a week we love thier food it seems like a hole in the wall but they have excellent food and drinks I've eatin a bunch of thier menu. My girl loves thier stir fry. So fresh so tasty. I like the pineapple fried rice with glazed sausage. I highly recommend also only know one place better in Bridgeport for pho but thiers is top notch and they have like 30 combinations u can get it's bone broth that instantly makes u feel great after eating it's so good with rice noodles and I get beef but u can get anything. There all 5 stars just so fresh the owners and service is always a comfortable easy place to get great food oh I almost forgot they have the best chicken. Wings they have like they have the sweet Chile wings fire way better than other places. This is a Def must try. They also have dvoordash and they have 20 tables inside. And we get thier sweet tea. And it's like a light orange color it goes so good with thier food the also have home made sauces on every table ,it's a Half mile up past Walmart off exit 8. Or Rte 80 or foxon rd right across from dominoes. A business friend of ours took my husband here for dinner. Simple place, mainly takeout with a small but very clean and understated dining area. He is a good cook so he's very particular about restaurants, he is also very frugal. For his recent birthday he insisted we drive the hour distance to go here. It was nothing less than sensational. The food was probably the finest Thai we've had. Better than anything in Fairfield County, CT. The clientele was a mixture of locals and even some characters and everyone was pleasant. Dinner for 5 with appetizers , soups and drinks was under $50 pp including tip. I had a heavy pour glass of Cabernet and it was $7.50!! It looks like it may be family owned because the two pleasant and attentive young girls who waited on us were both young . I’ve been a customer for seven years, and this is the kind of treatment I receive. The food is mediocre at best, and the people working there are outright unpleasant. I called at 8:30, fully aware they close at nine. I asked if it was too late to place an order, and she assured me it wasn't; she claimed it would be ready in 15 minutes. That seemed acceptable, so I made my way there, only to arrive at 8:50. Instead of the service I expected, I was met with a terse reminder that they close at 8:45. I pointed out that I had been told they’d be open until nine along with it posted on the door and website , but her response was dismissive, as if my desire for food was a burden. When I asked for my food , she flat-out refused. So I left, feeling frustrated and called her an asshole under my breath as I walked out. It’s hard to see how I’ll be returning here...
