Bought a television cabinet last week, and the manager was excellent. She had it put in the back until I could get someone to pick it up. I paid my handyman $100.00 to pick it up and delivery to my home. When he got to the store, he found the cabinet was cracked all the way around. From the pictures and what he said, it was clear that someone had dropped it. They never have more than one of the same item, so I was very disappointed that the staff couldn't move a piece of furniture to the stockroom and back without destroying it. When I went in later that day to get my refund, I spoke with the manager on duty, Tim. I told him how disappointed I was and that I had to pay $100 for delivery that never happened, and he said, "yeah, you bought it that way." Seriously? NO ONE would have paid $300.00 for a trashed cabinet. Why would I send someone to pick up the cabinet only to refuse it if I had intentionally purchased it with extensive damage? And all he had to do was speak to the manager on duty the day I bought it, and she could verify that there was no damage to the piece when purchased. When I told him I was writing a letter to the president of Homegoods to let him know just how poorly handled my purchase was, he said, "yeah, whatever." The store is always clean, well lit and well stocked with an unique and interesting variety of decor, children's products, foodstuffs, etc. The staff is very friendly, polite and helpful. On my visit today, a woman standing at the end of the aisle accidentally broke a glass cup that was stuck to another product, and an employee came right over and cleaned it up and required the woman that it wasn't a problem. Very nice to see them treating a customer like they genuinely value them and appreciate the business. I've had many good experiences at this location, unfortunately not every location has the same standards of customer service and cleanliness. The other stores could learn...

One of the best selections of home goods, speciality items and great prices! Many times there will be only one of a treasure so do not pass it by as it will not be there again. Always new merchandise. Greeting cards, candles, linens, ceramics, toys, kitchen accessories, pots, pans, glasses, tea cups, you want something, they most likely have something that will catch your eye.
