Tldr: Terrible experience from start to finish. Won't be returning to any panera anytime soon.
At the ups store, decide to eat something, see panera bread. "I've never been to a panera bread before, lets try it out" walks into store, 3 women in line at the register. I look at the menu and decide what I want, see 2 men ordering at a self serve kiosks so I go therr and put my order in. $52. Ok... Pretty expensive but I ordered a few different things and the lobster mac and cheese is a limited time item, its probably just pricy because of that right? No. Ok that sucks. Try to pay. This kiosk only takes credit cards. Okay can I put the order in and pay at the register? No. Ok. Would have been nice to know beforehand instead of wasting 5 minuted. A sign that says card only or cash here perhaps. Wait in line behind the 3 women from 12:36 to 12:43. Okay 7 minute have gone by this place must be great for people to waste that much of their lives over a sandwich. Get to the register, try to pay with cash, my bill is $52.80, try to use $100 bill. Cashier looks at me like I asked for his first born child. "Uhh I don't know if im allowed to take this" brother your items are $15 a piece, the average order is ~ $40 and I need $47 in change you obviously have it. Has to call manager. Manager comes over. "OH my $100 bill? You can accept it we just have to deposit it and put it in the safe immediately" btw you look like clowns doing this and youre legally require to accept legal US tender regardless of your store policy. Wait some more. Get food. Go out and eat it. Genuinely nothing special and dare I say even bad. The lobster mac n cheese was meh, they give u 1 claw and shred it up in a tiny bowl for $18. I think they got confused with my "extra steak" sandwich that I paid $19.26 for after upgrading to fruit cup. They must have read, put as little meat on as possible. The strawberry basil lemonade was good but $4.09 is wild for a juice. I also got an Italian salad and its some $1.79 pre-packaged garbage they mark up to $13. They don't even bother separating the deli meats that ate thrown in. At the end of the day, tiny portions of mediocre food at exorbitant prices. You'd have to be cognitively deficient to eat here. Not worth it for the "artisinal" experience. The food was fresh though. I will say that most of the stuff was high quality except the meats which are the most important part but I guess that's how they manipulate their customer demographic. Seems to be a very specific type of person that would eat...
Read moreI love Panera food but unfortunately the service here is not what it used to be. I feel like they fail to please on every level.
I get curbside pick up often and there have been several times I ordered a large drink or a bowl of soup rather than a cup, and I receive the smaller option. There has never been a time where my order wasn't missing something in the bag. Not one. The irony is that the managers signs the receipt on the bag that it was checked!
Curbside order is pointless because I have to go back in every time to get missing items. there have been times I literally order a Latte and cookie and wait 15 minutes. The soups are watered down sometimes and salads always seemed to be skimped on when it comes to toppings. They never give enough bread for the amount of soups either.
Seems like the prices just go up and portions just go down. I know the food is "fresh" so that's the reason for high prices but higher prices also require a higher level of service. Very disappointing. You shouldn't have to worry every time you order if you got all of your food. there used to be a time where if they messed up, they'd give me a cookie or a gift card. Now they just...
Read moreThe staff are never courteous. They are rude and I have overheard them making fun of customers. I was made fun of when the kiosk was broken. One employee said it was because I didn’t know my phone number. She retrieved a mop while a customer was giving an order. Check it out you never get manners. Thank you for choosing Panera. I had such a bad experience I was talking with a cook. She said the employee always is rude. I had enough and told the District manager. A few days later she was telling the manager and he said of all his employees he couldn’t believe it. Today was another incident I spoke to the manager and he said they never have problems with staff and all his employees know they have a open door policy. I was charged for the sip club which I gave my phone number for to another employee that is rude. She talks with the one I complained about. I called and emailed corporate People are so complacent. I want descent customer service. And yes one employee is not saying a word. I have...
