Maravilla Meat Market — Local services in East Los Angeles

I go to this store a lot because I like to support local business. Yesterday was my last day shopping there. The cashier who was a younger curly haired Hispanic guy called me a mayate several times to a customer in front of me and made jokes about it with them and another co worker. He knows I dont speak Spanish, but he doesn't know I can understand it. The word was thrown around 5 times. Then the older gentleman who is the owner came from the back and stopped it. I've always had a good experience when shopping at the Maravilla Meat Market. The service is excellent, I'm always greeted by name, everyone there is friendly as well as helpful. They offer an array of products, from produce, to meat, to household goods and they also offer money gram and check cashing services. I paid 6$ for 4 tomatoes? I didn’t even get a receipt. I went in and out for some ham and tomatoes the ham came out to $3.59, that’s what it said on the sticker on the bag of the ham, and I got 4 tomatoes total was 9.90 I used to come here for a quick grab for chips and I now am never coming back to this scam store. Never again, the lady did not even give me the receipt, sketchy place I would not recommend this...
