Why this park gets good reviews I have no idea. Everything here is high intermediate to expert level with nothing below to work your way up. I would in no way qualify this as a street park, even though there are a few street style obstacles. The street stuff is either right next to bowls (where your board ends up) or inside the bowls (so your in the way of vert skaters). The one manual pad if you can call it that is right next to a 6 foot drop, so don’t fall down. All the rails are tall. There are no decent flat places to practice. It’s just a terrible park for beginners and a terrible park for street skaters. The only people who can truly take advantage of the level of difficulty here would never come to this park in the first place. A public park like this should have been designed in a much more separated, incrementally more difficult way. I see a few skaters just doing tricks in the parking lot and...
Read moreThis park is 5 stars in design but one star by the people who run it. The park lights go on at 5 when it is fully daytime and turn off at 820 when the sunset is actually still visible. That seems like an obvious way to cheat the skaters out. You would think they would try and be fair to those who have day jobs but they don’t. Also considering this is the only real transition park in all this area they really don’t see skating as a recreational activity. Proof? Well other fields lights stay on til late. See what I’m saying? Clearly unfair and it’s been this way for a while. I won’t stop here taking this further. I have videos, dates and times of...
Read moreThis place is Good. Fun to Roll around. Well made. Smooth. I think they recently did an acid wash there.
It has a big bowl near the entrance, with pool coping that still needs to be replaced. It's maybe 5 and a half feet deep in the shallow end. Almost goes to Vert. The deep end is maybe 12- 13 feet deep. Goes to Vert.
The middle section is Fun. All these spots to roll in, and out.
In the back is another smaller bowl.
Plenty of parking in the parking lot. Bathrooms right outside the Skatepark. Not sure about lights.
Good, Fun Spot. Worth...
