I took my dog there today for the first time, Dandy he had an appointment at 1pm. I had been letting his hair grow around his face and head to get a man bun. When I dropped him off I told her to leave it long around the face and head just shape it up I wan to do a man bun. He’s a yorkie so he had beautiful long hair on his face. Lady even suggested a long hair teddy bear hair cut and I repeat it I wanted it long just shaped up. When I picked him up they couldn’t have gone shorter they trimmed his whiskers and eye brows and all of the top of his head so no man bun, snout hair all over is uneven. Total total disappointment!!! Sure, In her defense she said he moved a lot. Been taking him to the groomer for years I’ve never heard of him moving too much. I would figure if my dog was not having it p who knows he was moving a lot they would not have cut so much hair and left it long since he was moving so much. Instead they cut it all off and left his face pretty much shaved off, who does that??. Furthermore he has cuts on his belly and doesn’t even smell like they bathed him he smells like they just put dog cologne on him and no bath. So so disappointed. I cried when I saw my poor fur baby. I have a feeling that who ever cut his hair has no experience whatsoever. Please Urban tails make sure your people are experienced and or know how to handle a dog who they claims moves a lot. Zulema used to own a spa in a previous location closer to me and took great care of my first love Gigi. Funny story how we met I went interviewing groomers then I met Zulema she knew how paranoid (yes I told her and am one of those people) ok I am attached and overbearing of was/am of my baby. She talked me through the process and made me more important Gigi feel so comfortable and was so sweet to my girlie. I picked her up and she was always happy. Needless to say I just adopted another girlie and had to bring her to Zulema! She moved locations but for me she is worth the drive, she has the knowledge, experience and the care needed most of all I trust her with my most precious gift! Expense: I think the shop needs to seriously consider their service rates. A very small dog requiring a bath and a trim is over $65. That price is simply unreasonable. Skill: Each time I’ve dropped off my pups the trim on their face has been uneven. When I kindly pointed it out, the response was “that’s the way the hair grows”. My reply was “then why does one side look trimmed and the other not?” - crickets. Health & Safety: One of my doggies developed Kennel Cough.
