Alvarez Bakery — Restaurant in East Los Angeles

Only got one star because it was the least I could give. Here’s why:

1. bread is old. I bought a bread and it was falling apart and crumbling up. It was very dry. So I know this bread wasn’t fresh. It wasn’t made today. If it was, then it is poor quality. You decide.
2. bread is expensive. $2 for that dried up bread. And another bread that should not cost $2.
3. the lady always charges me extra. I have asked others to call and price or pick up bread. She charges them less. So, from this I gather that she doesn’t like me. Not the first time this happens and this last time she was a little rude.

I have given this place too many chances with my business. Not anymore. Also, here’s some advice:

Save your money. Los Reyes makes very delicious and fresh bread. Their bread is a little cheaper...

Very disappointed! I had shopped around at quite a few places before choosing this bakery... I should of went with my first choice. I had went in instead of calling my order and asked for certain details that I wanted for my wife’s cake. And the simple requests did not happen... my wife was happy the wiped cream tasted good but other then that the cake was a total fail. Thank you for not following...
