I’ll start by saying I have not contacted the shop because there was no chance I would be giving any of their stylists an opportunity to “fix” this out of fear of what might be the end result.
I had my hair cut here on Thursday. I asked for “shoulder length, not straight cut because I don’t like it to be a big chunk when I pull it back, a little layer and an angle to the face in the front.” The stylist was very friendly and sociable. I wasn’t paying attention to her every cut because 1. I’m not a stylist and I don’t know anything about it and 2. I was trying to relax as I don’t get much time to do that these says. She blew my hair dry and styled it with a round brush. Like every time I’ve ever left the salon, it was styled in a manner I wouldn’t do and a little over-the-top but also in a way I couldn’t see how my hair would really fall. I thought “oh well it’s not awesome but it’ll grow out.” I left a decent tip because she was very friendly and apparently I had low expectations of a proper cut. I threw my hair up into a small pony and went about my day.
After dinner, I took my hair down and started running my hands though it. This is when I realized something was really wrong. The right side looked like someone had their eyes shut, too much to drink, and was on drugs when it was cut. The left side looked all the same things as the right but also had the whole front and 60% the thickness of my hair chopped off at cheek height. I had two layers one shorter than shoulder length and the other cheek high straight around like a bowl had been placed on my head to cut it. I washed it and tried to style it thinking I was crazy but I couldn’t do anything to make it better.
On Friday I saw a high-end salon and by some stroke of magic my amazing stylist was able to save it and give me a beautiful, flattering, even cut. The stylist and the owner of the salon both said it was the worst cut they have ever seen. Said “this was totally F’ed up.”
I will never ever go back to this place. They recently lost all their staff and the stylist, Stephanie, who cut my hair last time and was AMAZING is gone. The stylist who cut my hair this time did not give her name but did say she as basically the “one man show” there these days- so beware!
I am honestly terrified for anyone else getting a hair cut here. If I had given my toddler the scissors he would have done...
Read moreI went in for a layered look. The lady who did my hair talked to all her coworkers, other customers and obviously didn't pay attention to my hair at all. I had a picture of what I wanted that she clearly didn't reference and she butchered my bangs. I wanted my bangs to sweep off to the right and she had cut them so short and I have hair from the far left side of my face that she tried to make part of the bangs. The bangs do not look right. It's choppy and the first thing People notice is how awful the bangs look. I paid $70 for the WORST hair cut I have ever received and hair products that apparently are the only thing to get the texture I want and to get rid of dandruff. I heard they were affordable and that wasn't the case. They charge based on how much you cut, wash, and blow. Every other place I have gone a wash and blow dry is part if the hair cut price. I am out raged! Yes hair grows back but the problem is that when you have an awful hair cut that makes you pissed off when you look at yourself, I shouldn't have to pay for that. I want y money back. And the only reason why I gave them a star was so that people can know the truth about how awful the women are that work there. Constant gossip, talking to other people, and don't pay attention to detail (which is pretty important when cutting hair). I say if you can't even cut bangs properly, you have no business...
Read moreI decided to cut my very long into a long bob, with a little bit of face framing. The hair dresser talked me into doing a bob that is longer in the front. Of course I thought that meant she would not do the face framing. Well she did both and it looks awful. I have short hair in the back that gradually gets longer in the front and then these awful fringe pieces that start at my ear and stop at my chin. Nowhere on my head is my hair even, it seems the hairdresser could not cut a straight line. She cut and cut and cut some more. I wanted about 10 inches cut off my hair, which have left me with nice long bob just past my shoulders. Well that’s about where my hair is in the front, but in the back it’s about four inches shorter. When I first looked at it, I thought I could work with it, but no matter what I do, it looks awful. I don’t see the point in complaining to the shop, because I don't trust her to touch my hair again. It’s a good thing my hair grows fast, because I’m going to have to cut it into a classic bob, in order to fix the unevenness, and fringing she added. I think part of the issue was an uneven cut all over and part because she didn’t...
