I've been shopping at CBug's for over two years. My partner and I discovered this great little shop after moving back to MA during a day of exploring and discovery. I have been a vinyl collector for over 50 years (began when I was 10 years old) and have had collections totalling in the thousands - so, I have bought and sold from just about everyone over these many years. I've met a lot of elitist collectors and shop owners that can be both pretentious and off-putting. Nothing more annoying than trying to dig through the crates, connect with like minded people, talk about music, and enjoy the memories music gives us to only be treated like you are not smart or important enough to hang out in their "incredibly cool store". These small stores should take a lesson from Bug. A sweet, humble, friendly man who has absolutely no ego, is not afraid to engage and talk music, and just share his store with music lovers. Always honest and transparent about his records - which always play great. In a very unpredictable world for small business owners, this one always does his best to give great deals and help get vintage vinyl into the hands of people who enjoy the memories and gifts that come through the special music that is the soundtrack of our lives. I am a dedicated customer and friend because of these qualities. Thanks for being a place I look forward to visiting on most weekends. Stop by, say hello, subscribe to his YouTube channel for weekly updates. This is a real record store. Rough and ready, nothing fancy, but is the best treasure trove you could ever wish to find. See you soon Bug! Thanks for everything you do. You are...
Read moreHas a good selection of records. Seems kind of disorganized as far as managing the store goes. Ordered a record for pickup through their online website for the next day. I arrived a little early but ended up waiting well over 15 minutes afterwards waiting for anyone to show up to help me. Lights were on, during business hours, and the place was empty. I poked around other records while I waited…. and found the record I ordered for pickup still out for anyone to buy in the new arrivals section. After waiting well after my scheduled pickup time I headed downstairs to ask the antique place if anyone was available to help me out, they were super friendly I explained my situation and they worked everything out for me.
Overall cool place to check out, but maybe steer clear of...
