AT&T beware! I was stopped, questioned and convinced in the Easton, MA target to trade in my devices and switch my cell provider by in store AT&T sales guys on the premise they could save me a significant amount of money monthly - with an aprx $180 bill monthly for 3 lines, vs my $290 monthly bill at another provider I have been paying.
Not until AFTER the order was finalized was I told the first 3 months would be more expensive than the quoted $180/price not applying until the 4th month - with the first month being the highest (no promo applied/trade in not complete etc) 2nd month a little lower, but higher than the quoted etc. I specifically stopped the sales guy to ask HOW much higher - and he gave me a figure under $300 - which I felt I could swing for a few months before getting my quoted ongoing price, after all I was paying that before - sounded reasonable.
The new phones were shipped in the following days and I activated upon receipt which cancelled my former plan, solidifying - and THEN get a confirmation email telling me my first month bill is $681 and my month two bill is $341. Neither are figures under $300 the sales guy told me, and I still need to pay my last bill of my former provider. I NEVER was told this high of a payment and IF I was properly informed I could have made an educated and responsible decision about the choice. When I questioned the sales person at this point via text (because they give you their cell# if you need support) he first was giving push back that its industry standard, that I signed and agreed to a higher bill on the consent and kept referring to the final consent i initialed (to be clear that consent does NOT say a dollar amount, which I specifically asked and only initialed after an payment in an amount that sounded doable was verbally provided). He also stated I’d be discounted in future bills when I finally get the quoted lower rate after several months. Lastly, he then admitted a former other customer was also surprised by how high their first bill was at $450+ for 2 lines and he should have better explained that to me - which indicated to me he knowingly lied to me the days prior because I SPECIFICALLY asked this question.
I went to the main att store in mansfield for help because I am furious I was blatantly lied to, and they confirmed they get a lot of upset people from these known independent sales teams you find in target, Costco etc that don’t provide full disclosure on cost. The store staff were great from a customer service perspective doing what they could to help get some $ off my first bill, but I’m pretty much stuck unless I completely back out and there’s a bunch of hoops to jump through.
These target AT&T sales services are preying on customers and blatantly lying and/or omitting very important details. This is pure deceit. I have talked to numerous other locals who fell victim to this as well - also without truthful disclosure and astronomical billing. Target should be aware of what is happening - and address it. It is terrible and inappropriate...
Read moreI don't usually go to this target location because it is futher away but went to this one to buy a QLED TV that the target app said was in stock at this store. I get to the electronics department and had to track down an employee and asked for the tv, after 20 minutes waiting the employee came back and said they didn't have it in stock? So what if i purchased it online on the app, my money (hundreds of dollars for a QLED tv) would be tied up at target until they refunded it? This is the worst target I have been to. Box's and pallets of merchandise on the floor waiting to be put on the shelf but no employees to be found. No shopping carts for customers because they are being used for returns or stocking shelfs. No registers open, this is by far the worst target I have ever been to. And to top it off i drove to a second target that said they had the TV in stock and they didn't have it either so I called a 3rd target closer to Boston 5 times, electronics department and customer service and no one would even answer the phone. I bought my tv at a store other than target, I'm just glad I didn't purchase it online at target because my money hundreds of dollars would have been tied up at target and I would have had to wait for a refund or wait till the tv came it or shipped to my house. I will never buy anything expensive on the target app for this reason and certainly will not be going to the Easton...
Read moreTarget in South Easton MA is easily the best department store around, it literally has everything you need in one place, from groceries, to pet supplies/food, clothing, toys, household items/cleaning items, decor, furniture, to school supplies and now CVS Pharmacy inside.
The staff is 9 times out of 10 very friendly and helpful, the prices are very reasonable (even better if you use the Target app on your phone to save additional $), and the shelves are always stocked, they're usually never out of anything that you need.
The hours are great, they open very early and close fairly late as well, and it's pretty much a one stop shop for all of your needs, maybe aside from alcohol, although I think some Target stores now have this as well, I don't doubt this will come to this store as well. The store has a higher end clientele it appears than say, Walmart, which is always nice, and the crowds are usually non-existent for some strange reason, it always seems like I can just breeze right through my shopping experience. I give this store a 5 star rating in comparison to other department stores overall, this one...
