Very disappointed. I regularly shop at the Aldi located in Eastpointe, MI. Today I noticed a play kitchenette set that was prices at a markdown value of $29.99. The price was securely on the shelf right under the last play kitchenette. At check out the cashier rang the item up at the regular price. I informed her of the markdown advertised under the item. She voided my transaction and went to go check the price on the shelf and stated "you were lucky, you got the last one at that deal". Next she had her manager (Jerrell) to come over and override the transaction. He informed me that the markdown price advertised under the product was incorrect and he could not honor it. He stated that the price advertised was wring and he couldn't allow me to purchase the item at the price stated on the shelf. Lui stated to him :This makes absolutely no sense. If the product is advertised at the wrong price that is of no fault to the customer. He seemed to be in a bad mood and stated he is going to get in trouble with his manager if he sales the item at that price. All this after waiting in a long line and after the manager just allowed the customer before me to return items without a receipt. He said that the price tag was on the floor when he went over there, which was a lie and the cashier agreed with me that he was wrong. I had him void my entire transaction. Aldi just lost a...
Read moreUPDATE UPDATE UPDATE: Quit going to Aldi all together, always have to get certain things ftom other places anyway and after being told by an employee the chocolate almond milk was seasonal, well if your lucky you'll see me when it's chocolate almond milk season, whenever that's supposed to be... END. UPDATE UPDATE: Review going down to one star, I'm seriously not going to have this guy mean mugging me out the window because I parked next to his Camaro done with it, somebody needs to do something about it. Posting pics also in case management doesn't know who this guy is. Or they don't care one of the two... Show's him doing exactly what I said he does, policing the parking lot because of his car instead of the store. People can be doing whatever they want inside, he wouldn't have any idea... UPDATE: Male security guard can stop DOUBLE parking his Camaro as close as possible in the parking lot and paying attention to it his ENTIRE shift. Seriously have seen this guy go outside when people have moved their cars to move his Camaro closer to the building, ridiculous, do your job and stop worrying about your car or stop driving it to work. Security here is not even needed. END: Great prices 👏 👍 good variety of quality products....
Read moreNormally we have an ok experience with this place. Generally they could be cleaner. I always feel like the floors and glass need cleaning here. Tonight we had our first bad experience. The only cashier told us to move to another aisle because another cashier was coming. So I moved along with 3 other customers and we stood there waiting. In the meantime the original line we were in emptied down to nothing and our cashier had not even showed up yet. When she did show up she slammed all of our food in the top portion of the cart. We had chips and bread and all of it was smashed. I looked at the bread that was flattened and told her I was exchanging it. We didn't bring a cart in but had an empty box we were using and when we're getting ready to move the cart to the side so we could pack the box with our groceries she grabbed the cart from us and said we would have stand next to her to do it because she needed the cart. Mind you the customer behind us had two items and the customer after that had a cart. The counter to sort and pack your things is two feet away. Honestly I have never had a bad cashier before but she was obviously not in the mood to be...
