Shore Pointe Motor Lodge — Hotel in Saint Clair Shores

Wouldn't be a bad place to stay if it wasn't for the front desk staff making it a bad experience everytime. I have stayed here a few times. The first time I didn't have any issues but every other time I have had a bad experience. I feel like they are shady. First of all, what kind of motel doesn't allow children? There has been a couple of times that I wanted to rent a room and when I tell them I have a baby with me, the lady says "we don't allow babies." So I said okay I'll find somewhere else... then she tries to say "well, I'll let you bring your baby if you give me $25 deposit" when the deposit is usually $5. Keep in mind, this "deposit" changes all the time. Another time, my boyfriend and I stayed there. Check out is at 11am, so tell me why we had the male maintenance guy pounding on our door at 9am? When I answered it he said we had to leave. I said why? He said because its time to check out. Confused, I say ok then let me get my stuff together. He said you have to go now. I said you just woke me up, I need a minute to gather my things. He said you only have 5 minutes and then you got to go. So I call the front desk to ask what time check out is and they tell me 11am. I said why do I have this guy pounding on my door this early telling me I have to go? Then suddenly they change their tune. Said sorry there was a mix up. I still have no idea why that even happened. My boyfriend and I are quiet people. There was no reason for it at all. After that experience this place really left a bad taste in my mouth.. Oh and the last time I went there, as I was checking in the lady really asked me if I was going to be watching the adult channels. Really?? What a weird question! The adult channels are automatically included with all the rooms. For free. I have no clue what the reason for asking me that was but I will not be back because every single time it's just a weird/bad...

Attn: SHEELA, KRUNAL and Mgr DENNY!! Your staff are THIEVES! I stayed there Sept 5-7. My first night checking in went fine, the next morning I paid for another night at 5 AM. The third day I did the same paid for an additional stay at 5 o’clock in the morning however, on that day the male staffer was sleeping so I tapped on the window to awaken him. I paid for another night and I went to work. When I returned from work, my room was completely empty of all of my belongings. I went to the front desk and they had no idea where my belongings were and they had no idea that I paid for another night. They were dismissive and I was in tears. I showed the Indian woman my receipt. She made a few phone calls and after about a half hr a man rolls out with my belongings and a trash bag with my toiletries, I was so tired and upset, I just took my belongings went into my room. The next morning when I set up my belongings, I realize that my perfume was missing so I went back to the front desk at 5 AM before heading to work, and they had no clue about my perfume or where it went. I was very upset that they did not communicate to each other that I paid for my room and since the cleaner assumed I didnt pay HE decided to take my belongings and put them in a trash bag AND STEAL my perfume. As petty as that sounds, perfume is very expensive. I felt violated that someone picked through my belongings. I paid for an additional night and did nothing wrong. DO NOT stay there, they’re very unprofessional and the people who work there steal your belongings. I’m tempted to make a police report, but I know nothing will be done over a bottle of perfume, but if you stay there you cannot guarantee that they will actually log that you paid and rob you of you belongings. DON'T STAY HERE!! THE CHEAP PRICE IS NOT WORTH IT!

I recently moved out of state and came back to visit friends and family in the area. I knew I wouldn't be in my Hotel Room very much so I chose The Shore Pointe Motor Lodge. The price was cheap and after reading the reviews, I thought it would be a good choice. If there is a good review about this place, it's not true! Everything is old and very outdated! There was an old TV from 1985 in the room, so I was unable to use my Game System. The TV barley worked and only had about 10 different channels, most of which were fuzzy and unclear. The heater worked but it was all beat up and kicked out a burnt smell (which added to the slight stench the room had to begin with). I did not check out the room completely when I first walked in which was a BIG mistake! On night 3 of my stay, I went to put some water in the fridge and saw that there was a Pizza Box in there from a previous occupant with MOLDY PIZZA inside the box! Clearly housekeeping isn't a priority at The Shore Pointe Motor Lodge! I foolishly threw the Pizza Box away without taking any pictures. Then the following night, my last night, I woke up in the middle of the night to use the restroom and I FIND A ROACH ON THE GROUND! With only a few more hours until check out, I decided to just sleep with the lights on and tough it out.
