Value World Thrift — Local services in Eastpointe

Grossly over priced. The kids clothes, 20 for kid jeans? Cheaper at kohls. The pricing is insane. The new Employees are rude and have no customer service skills. Look at you when you walk in and roll there eyes. A simple hello or welcome to Value World would have been appropriate. I'm not gonna shop resale if it's cheaper to go to Target. They really need to overhaul the way they price, I can look past the attitude but those prices have me never coming back.

Edit. I went there and had my debit card skimmed. They tried to cash App people from my card. I have the names of the people on my bank statement and the police and bank are doing an investigation. This store goes from bad to worse. High prices and the cashiers are up to no good. See the card has my name on it but the bill goes to another address so the only reason the charges didn't go through was because they used the wrong zip code. They can pull up customer information from the loyalty points. How this store employs so many scum bags I'll never know.

This store needs to be investigated. They take donations I've seen it, yet they say their not a charity, but they accept donations. On their main page is says value world does not accept donations. The whole 10 mile store needs to be shut down.

Everything is a scam inside that store. Half the things never even hit floor the employees come out the back with bags and hand them to people in cars again I've seen it by being 30mins early before the store opens. Scam after scam...

This location is severely overpriced for what they have. The others have way nicer stuff and better prices. The real turn off is the rude employees. I was in the other day with my baby in her carseat. We grabbed a cart from the cart stall and began shopping. I had made my way to the back of the store near the toys when a lady comes from the backroom and starts yelling at me that I cant have that cart. She says it was never supposed to be up there with the others and I need to get one of the smaller ones they have. Um okay..... I have my baby in her seat and a bunch of clothes in here now. But I am expected to take all of it out and schlep it back up to the front of the store to get a different cart all because someone else put the cart somewhere it should not have been. That was beyond rude. You dont treat customers that way. It wasnt even my fault and the least they couldve done was offer to get me a different cart to transfer all...

I know a lot of people leave bad reviews about this place, but I like it. I've found that you really have to dig to find the good stuff, so make sure you have enough time and patience set aside to do so when you come here. And as for fitting rooms, most thrift stores I've been to don't have them, so know your size before you go. And every thrift store I've ever been to has a no return/refund policy, so why are people complaining? And if something is out of your price range, don't buy it, duh. I don't get it. If you can't get in the right mindset before coming here to shop, just just don't go. I enjoy this place. It's a nice...
