Take 5 Oil Change — Local services in Edgewater Park Township

Hate to leave a negative review unfortunately, last 2 times ive tried to get my oil changed here at the Edgewater location , I was told the one time, they "don't service volvos" and then today was told I would have to wait until tomorrow because they "have to have more than 1 person to do it and the one guy is new" ... for an oil change????? but when I've came before that, it was only 1 person doing it and they did a great job. So I don't understand what the problem is, or if the workers are just lazy and don't want to work? I could do the oil change MYSELF if I had the equipment , and I'm a female that's watched a couple YouTube videos on it. So I really don't understand how supposed "professionals" can't service an OIL CHANGE on ANY car . If they can't, they should NOT be working on ANYONE'S cars . Extremely unprofessional and inconvenient. I will NOT be trying to come here ever again and will NEVER refer anyone to come here. It is pure LAZINESS. Especially when they OVERCHARGE anyway. But I was willing to go and pay the ridiculous price just to have my oil changed correctly. NEVER AGAIN. Luckily, I went to Mavis Discount Tire shop and they MORE THAN accommodated me and gave me a wayyyyyy better price for a synthetic oil change, didn't matter what kinda car I drive or any of that. And only took 15 MINUTES ! Take 5 had me sitting there 30-45 minutes, and they advertise to be "quick" . My opinion after countless times dealing with Take 5? SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO TO MAVIS !!! Take 5 doesn't want to work or make money, OBVIOUSLY! & Mavis only 10 mins down the street from Take 5 with hassle free, GREAT...

Such a great experience! I have always had a negative experience with my oil changes, as they always end up making me spend more when people “find things that need to be repaired” when all i wanted was an oil change. This was my first time to one of these kinds of places where you pull in and it’s just an oil change. I pulled up on a Friday evening after work and was directed right into a bay, and handed a courtesy water bottle. The gentlemen working there were kind and polite and ensured I would be out quickly. This was my first oil change in my new car and it took a little longer because of my cars skid plate, but the whole oil change was less than 40 minutes. I stayed in my car the entire time and it was clearly communicated between the staff members what part of the process they were on, also kind of keeping me in the loop. No one pressured me into getting the advanced package. No one pressured me into the more expensive oil filter, however, I was educated by Isaiah on the benefits of the better filter, which led me to make that decision. You guys were all so kind and cool and this was such a great experience on my Friday after a long work week! Definitely will be back again! You guys...

Firstly was in for the first time within the last week /the week before hand for an oil change etc . The young man that was there ( can’t remember his name at this moment apologies) he was very nice and helpful, other staff one female in particular was slightly stand offish.

Which brings us to this morning and the reason for the one star . I took my car into get my oil filter cap tightened because you know sometimes little things happen . I ended up waiting almost an hour and a half because the two young men that were there today lost a part , one of them acted unprofessional raving about how himself and his clothes were getting dirty at 9 am ( which you knew what job you sighted up for what did you think was going to happen) he also began getting frustrated to the point of walking around using profanity in front of not just me, but the customer he was servicing and yelling at someone on his phone.
