Eclipse Events — Local services in Edison

Where do I even begin...working with Eclipse Events is the single best decision we made in planning our wedding. My husband and I pulled together our wedding for 100 guests in 88 days - clearly an extremely aggressive and slightly crazy timeline. Not only did we have a barrier with our timeline, but since he is Dominican and I am Polish/Irish, having a bilingual MC who could seamlessly keep the party rocking and make everyone feel part of the celebration was super important to us. Lucky for us, in our research we stumbled upon Eclipse's website. I have to admit, I didn't always see the value in investing in entertainment - I was of the mindset that all event companies are the same - but after our wedding the best advice I can give anyone planning a wedding is that your entertainment is more important than almost anything else you'll spend money on, including flowers, dress, etc. From our first Skype conversation with Chris Ponce, we were super impressed and knew that we were in good hands. After we decided to work with Chris, and we got further into our planning process, it was so easy to reach out to Eclipse and leverage their expertise to add on additional services, from photography and video, to the insane selfie mirror (such a hit with our guests) to their awesome lighting. It was super convenient to have access to so many quality services in the same place. Chris was awesome at facilitating and connecting us with the right resources that made sense for us and our needs, and always accessible by phone, text, Skype, whenever we had questions. On the day of our wedding, the Eclipse team (DJ/MC, video, photography, selfie mirror, lighting) couldn't have been more professional and flawless in execution. The dance floor was not only packed, but the energy was completely epic, all night. The photography and video team members were so easy to work with and made us feel totally at ease, and importantly they were not disruptive to the experience at all. I'm confident they were capturing everything and we cannot wait to see the end results. We've had nonstop guests reaching out to us and complimenting everything from the DJ, MC lighting, selfie mirror etc. There was only one moment that the dance floor was empty for just a few moments and it was because everyone needed a small break after dancing what seemed non stop. And even then Chris truly went above and beyond and knew just what to do and play to make everyone turn right back around and get back to the dance floor. Additionally, having someone bilingual that was able to appeal to both languages was amazing because it not only ensured everyone had a phenomenal time, but it also had an amazing side effect of creating more interaction between our very different families. It was an amazing sight when my husband and I took a step back and saw both families on the dance floor at the same time, including Grandma! We could go on and on and ON about Chris and every member of the Eclipse team for helping us throw an EPIC party and helping us kick off our life together on the highest of notes. Where to even begin? My (now husband) and I interviewed with Anthony a year and half before our big day. The second our interview ended we looked at each other and said ‘we love this guy’. It wasn’t even a question that this was who we wanted to work with. His energy came through the screen, his passion immediately got us excited and his expertise was nothing shy of perfection. He laid everything out for us from start to finish and literally 99% of the time would answer our emails within the same five minutes. Our wedding was what our music was- we wanted high energy, fun dancing vibes and that is exactly what Anthony accomplished. All of our guests didn’t leave the dance floor and had the time of their lives. What we didn’t know was that we would also end up working with eclipse for our photography and videography. We took a look at their brochure, their portfolios and social media and realized the talent was equal to how Anthony made us feel. We worked with Jen Marvel for photography and she was a true dream. I (the bride) am definitely not a relaxed/ calm bride. I am extremely type- A, organized and probably anyones worst type of client in that perspective. Jen made me feel heard, understood my goal and visions and kept me sane the entire day/ night. You literally see her sprinting around in videos caught from some of our guests to get different angles. She’s not only talented, but one of the nicest and funniest people we’ve ever met. We worked with Teddy for videography and he too, was a dream to work with. He said this exact quote to us and it really was so true ‘me and Jen are a dream team’- he wasn’t lying. Teddy was literally like a director during our wedding day with telling us different things to do for our wedding video, different positions to try and making everything flow together. He took detailed notes to all of our requests and visions and it showed throughout the night. Teddy kept us laughing throughout our time together and he brought so much fun and light to our day. Together they were a dynamic duo and we’ll never be able to thank them enough. Lastly, although she works more-so behind the scenes we also met Brittany; one of the editors. Words fall short when trying to think of words for her- she is the most sweet and kind hearted souls we’ve ever met. Although our time together was minimal, every encounter we’ve had with her has been joyful. She radiates positivity and helpfulness. She makes you feel like your wedding is the only wedding they are working with. This company WAS and MADE our wedding what it was. We are so thankful to have worked with this company- they are pure magic. From start to finish they were the most kind group of individuals and an even more electric team when together. My husband and I just got married last week and used Eclipse for our DJ, photography, videography and photobooth! We had such an amazing experience with them, I couldn’t be any happier with how everything turned out! I heard of them through a family member who had nothing but great things to say about their work. I reached out to Eclipse and ended up meeting with Chris Ponce, who was our event host/DJ. I am the type of person who gets easily stressed out and overwhelmed with event planning, but Chris helped to make the entire process so easy and stress-free! Eclipse uses an online portal to help you organize all of your event forms, documents and music playlists and it has some really cool music features and suggestions. This was extremely helpful to my husband and I when we were deciding on our “must play” songs. On top of how easy this was to navigate, Chris was so easy to talk to and was always attentive to any questions or emails. He made us both feel so secure with our choice to use Eclipse! It was also a huge plus that we were able to use Eclipse for photo, video and photobooth because it really felt like a one stop shop and it was less vendors to have to research and meet with. And with that, each person still provided such high quality services! I come from a family where dancing and music is such a large part of the way we celebrate with one another, so the DJ and the music selections were such an important part of the wedding to me. I told Chris that we wanted to hear multiple different genres of music and I was initially nervous that I would be making things too complicated. I told Chris that he was more important to me than my groom!😂 He reassured me that he understood all the vibes that I was going for and that I can trust him and I left our meeting feeling so excited. Fast forward to the day of…Chris executed his job!!! I’m so glad we did trust him! We had such a blast, it really was everything I hoped for and more! Even throughout the wedding, he would come over to us and check in if we were feeling satisfied with how everything was going. We had so many compliments about our DJ and so many people asked for the name of the company to keep in mind for their own events. People have still been talking to us about how much fun they had! The dance floor was full and we danced all night long! Chris really helped to make this day so special and a night we will always remember!!
