Vichy Luxe Day Spa — Local services in El Cerrito

Maybe I got lucky going on a Wednesday at 2pm, but this place was surprisingly charming! Bay Beauty Spa is currently closed for construction so I decided to try the 30min/30min full body and foot reflexology combo here ($50) and it was good!! I also like that they have a bigger parking lot.

I was the only person there, it being a weekday, so it was very peaceful/calming. The lady I had (Linda?) was also good at communicating to ask if I was comfortable as well. I love that they massage your head/face/scalp too (Bay Beauty Spa doesn't anymore for the foot combos, they say you have to get a full body massage for head massages 😥)

I also love how nice the front desk ladies were! I wanted to buy a certificate and the woman who spoke English had left for a moment, but the ones there were able to communicate to wait how they could and even took out Google translate to help me! I thought that was very nice of them.

Since I got there , it didn't felt very welcoming. I didn't even want to go in after feeling the bad environment they were all giving me. However I stayed because I booked it online. There was this lady (older lady who has a lot of botox) who did my face treatment & was very aggressively and did everything with such a rush. I didn't like my experience at all. & Instead of doing a 15-20mins massage while having my face mask she dissappear. The skincare tools and products look cheap and felt dirty. I would definitely go somewhere else next time.

Also if you want to get the "Lymphatic Drainage Massage" for your stomach. Don't get it, they only focus on the back of your whole body but not the front , unfortunately. Ok so I've never heard of a tourmaline crystal sauna before but I now have and it was so cool. I prefer traditional sauna's over infrared but it was really beautiful and did work, just takes longer. (Tip of you're thinking sauna especially during the week call a couple hours ahead because it takes that long to warm it up). So the best deal is the two hour special, two hour massage (as far as I know any modality) plus 2 hours in the sauna (I did one before and one after) From the front it just looks like any other strip mall place but this one is soo much more, it's really big inside and the decor is like a 4 star imperial hotel, it's really nice. I was really happy with my massage and total experience, the people are really friendly and accommodating, I will be back this is my new favorite place in the Bay.
