Got an arm tattoo in the cybersigilism art style about 6-7 inches in length with Alan almost a year ago, and I feel I overpaid.
I want to make something clear first. I understand very clearly that it is important to respect an artist’s prices, as they’re generally indicative of their skill, experience, and reputation. Every artist at Baron Art is incredibly talented and deserves their position there. I asked no questions when I was told my tattoo would be over $750 for a 5 hour session, and also tipped what I could.
That being said, I’m not stupid. Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong, but I remember Alan told me he had only been tattooing for a year or two when I spoke to him. He is a talented artist, but not one with hundreds of clients on a waitlist, millions of impressions on social media, or decades of experience in the industry.
I researched the likes of ModoInk, etc. after getting mine done and also spoke to DOZENS of people with similar tattoos who got their work done in high-demand, prestigious studios in LA and I’m not exaggerating at ALL when I say every single person I spoke to with actual experience getting or even giving tattoos was shocked when they heard how much I paid. There wasn’t a SINGLE person I spoke to who paid more than I did for a comparable tattoo, regardless of art style, session length, or general complexity.
Perhaps this is customary in Baron Art, but I feel I was taken advantage of when I mentioned this was my first tattoo. I hope it’s obvious that I was hesitant to write this review— it took me nearly a year to say anything, because I was so adamant about respecting the artist and not questioning their prices. I doubt I’d be offered compensation but the very least I’d hope for would be an explanation, as like I said, I have yet to find a studio or artist that charges that much for the same...

The entire process with this tattoo artist, from consultation to final product, was superb. Not only did he have an extraordinary gift for producing stunning artwork, but his ability to convey ideas, his patience, and his commitment to his profession also made him stand out. The artist's extraordinary patience struck me as the most remarkable aspect of his work. He appreciated the tattoo for what it meant to me and acknowledged that it would always be a part of my physical identity. He tirelessly revised the design alongside me until it was an exact reflection of my vision. The whole thing was stress-free and delightful because to his cool approach and eagerness to fulfill my requirements. Moreover, I was very impressed by the tattoo artist's level of commitment. His dedication and enthusiasm for his work shone through in every stitch he stitched. His execution of the design with such care and accuracy was impressive. He painstakingly checked that every line, tint, and curve was perfect, and the resultant tattoo was better than I could have imagined. This artist is not only technically proficient, but also incredibly talented. The tattoo he made for me was not only beautiful, but it was spot-on representation of what I had in mind. His extraordinary artistic skill was on full display in the work's fine intricacies, vivid colors, and seamless merging of different aspects. People are always raving over my tattoo, and I always give full credit...
Read moreAbsolutely amazed at how poor the customer service was. As someone who's been following baron art tattoo on instagram for a while I'm highly disappointed at the interaction l've had here. I lost my fur baby a few days ago and came in hoping to get a tattoo done in tribute to him. Right off the bat the receptionist didn't even acknowledge or look up from her desk at us for a WHILE and when I asked if they were doing walk ins immediately she had attitude in her tone and made me feel like a burden for even walking in. Despite this I ignored and continued on to tell her what I would like done and it honestly was a small 1 inch maybe even less, tattoo of my dog's paw print. She just blankly stares at me and continues to give me looks. She proceeds to then tell me she will give me a price once she's done with all the details and then goes to walk to another tattoo artist who honestly was just sitting there doing nothing. They were both just talking back and forth about absolutely nothing important, laughing and looking my direction and made me feel highly uncomfortable. I even overheard the tattoo artist who is supposedly a manager??? Saying she doesn’t really take walk ins (they post almost daily on instagram and it’s in their bio that they take walk ins) Once the receptionist finally got back to me about the tattoo after god knows how long of yapping in the back, I just asked for the print of my dog's paw back and left. I was nothing but patient and kind towards this woman and left with nothing but disappointment and...
