Big 5 Sporting Goods — Local services in El Monte

I went to get the same pair of shoes I bought a few months because the were comfortable. After a few minutes of waiting a young guy came to help me he was clumsy and very slow He brought me all the wrong sizes and styles and left. I was was waiting a long time for him to bring me the right size and right style of shoes. Then I heard his voice close by helping a customer that just walked- in!, I went to the cashier to ask for a manager or supervisor , the cashier says:" be patient he's the only one there's more people" I told her I was the only one when I came in and he stoped helping me. To make story short they never called a manager or supervisor. One girl offered to help me I was tired and upset I just left. Horrible Customer service,...

Good experience over all., My only gripe was with the telescoping fishing rods. for Father's day, last year, I asked for two rods a lite one and a sturdy one, and I instructed my awesome, beautiful to go to my neighbor hood Big 5 sporting goods, A few months passed before we get to go beach camping , and to my disappointment and shock while doing some lite casting in to the surf with my sturdy telescoping rod the largest section of my brand new rod broke....Most all of my previous birthday and Father's day Big 5 rods have been very well made and a joy to own , so I'm thinking it was a manufacturing goof for that brand, I did no bother with buying reel for my "lite "Rod. No customer service at all. Walked in and 2 girls were standing at the cash register. And never even greeted us. 2 workers were just walking around. Never once asked if we needed help. Went to the cash register to pay. The worker still didn't say one word to us. All she said was to ask if I had the coupon I told her I had. Then when we walked out, the worker standing at the door didn't say one word! Never a thank you or anything. Workers need to have more training in customer service!! Won't be going back...
