UPDATED REVIEW: It's now been a couple of years since my first review of Doc's and, frankly, I felt utterly compelled to elaborate on my experience since then. Why? Quite simply because Doc and his crew found a way to excel in the stellar performance and experience they provide for collectors and, well, that deserves recognition.

I gushed about Doc's exceptional customer service in my original review but the intervening years have shown me how I had barely scratched the surface. When you go to Doc's, you are not only tended to with care, respect, friendliness, but also a GENUINELY warm and welcoming environment.

Unlike some small businesses that center around collecting, there is no odd atmosphere, unspoken pressure, or that distinct notion that you are intruding on someone's inner circle. Quite the opposite! Doc and company are engaging, friendly, accommodating, and truly interested in you as a person I admit, I sometimes just go to see Doc's friendly face and exchange words with him! I've never seen someone be so open, amicable, and, most importantly, willing to help clientele. In short, the man's a delight and that just makes his already awesome haven of collectibles all the better.

Since last time, he has moved to a new location (in the same shopping area, a few doors down) and now has a much roomier and modern aesthetic to his shop. As always, his selection is wide, ranging from action figures to high end statues and EVERYTHING in between! He's an official Sideshow dealer and a purveyor of awesome statuary (which, let me tell you, as a fan of statues I trust only this man to get what I need).

His prices are fair and he's always on top of putting out some good deals or killer customer incentives. What's awesome is that you never really know what cool promotional thing he'll have in play. One time we visited, you could win a free item with a 50 dollar purchase via a random drawing. And the items you could win? HIGH QUALITY STUFF, no bunk! He's held raffles, games, etc, at other times all of which enrich the shopping experience. Additionally, he has a customer loyalty program (free to join) that builds in-store credit. I mean, how can you frown at that?!

By now I've snatched up many a collectible at Doc's. As a statue guy, I know I can depend on Doc. As a poor guy (sad but true), statues are not normally cheap. Doc became my hero in this regard. I can always count on his pre-order system that allows me to pay stuff off long before it is released and, should I see something I need right then and there, his excellent layaway program swoops in like Spider-Man to save my wallet.

Of course, most people go for action figures, Pops, props, and even accessories for the ladies that love all things geeky! Believe me, you'll find those things in abundance but, should you not find something you're specifically looking for, he is always open to tracking a pre-order down for you and, yes, even has found stuff for my brother and I that we thought we'd never get our hands on. Doc tries his utmost to get awesomeness into your hands, if that is what you desire.

What else is there to say? Well, if you haven't been, then make it a point to visit. I truly believe that Doc's is one of El Paso's hidden gems. A shop that understands that, even in tough times, people want to collect the stuff they love. A shop that cares about every person that comes in. A shop willing to roll out the red carpet for you. Plainly stated, a shop reflective of its wonderfully lovable owner.

An EXCEPTIONAL spot for those in love with pop culture, collecting, superheroes, and more! And, let me tell you, they've never missed a beat at providing their extraordinary brand of customer service. In fact, they've only gotten...

Okay, so I no longer live in El Paso. Every time I visit family there I make it a point to go around and hit up the usual spots. But I also look at some spots I may have missed when I lived there. My love of pop culture took me to a few places this visit. Some I had been to previously but the one that stood out the most among them was Doc's Unique Collectibles which I had never visited. Turns out it was open when I was still living there, I just didn't know.

I usually dont post reviews, but i felt like i needed to with Doc's. Just upon entering you're kinda blown away by the clean and organized look and the sheer amount of cool stuff on display. I'm kind of used to collectible stores being something of a mess and, if not, the workers being real touchy about you "messing up" their organization. This place is not only very well organized but the super friendly employees encourage you to look around and make you feel welcome from the get go. The highlight was being able to see stuff like Hot Toys. Dude was was very open to letting me inspect them up close. No weird pressure, no bad vibes, just someone geeking out as much as I was. About those employees: fantastic! They were super nice, receptive, conversational, and willing to help. The chick talked to my wife while I was geeking out and she was also impressed with how cool and genuine the vibe was. Rare stuff nowadays.

The only downside to my visit was that, since it was toward the end of my visit to EP, I was down to my last funds! So much stuff I wanted but, hey, now I know what to hit up next time. It was just a cool way to end an evening and I am so happy i found this place!! Hope to see more places like this in my old...

DOC’s Collectibles is an amazing store, the owner and staff is so friendly and welcoming. My husband loves to go chat with the owner who is very knowledgeable about his products. You’ll find unique quality collectible items there. We went recently with our baby daughter and he was so kind enough to give her a stuffed Wonder Woman doll just to see her smile, it was very sweet and we appreciated it so much. We purchased a Mystery bag for $40 and got two Funko POPs, a Loungefly bag, a pocket Funko keychain and a Vinylmation which was well above the $40 value, we also got to spin their wheel of prizes and got a $10 credit to our account for a future purchase. We love shopping local and supporting small businesses so we will continue to support DOCs fully! Thank you for such a wonderful experience, our baby was so happy while...
