My family and I have been coming to this store for 20+ years and I used to love this place; however, I think they are running a scheme/scam on their customers.
Long story short: They are not providing detailed/itemized receipts to many customers hoping that they donât notice they are adding in extra charges and charging the customers more. I only initially noticed because over 1/2 of the candy we purchased was expired and I called to notify them in hopes to exchange. They are not checking their merchandise and are KNOWINGLY selling these items to our El Paso community- Had it not been for this I would have never noticed the substantial overcharge.
They ran my credit card for $60 OVER and when I went to dispute they pulled some BS about needing to check the cameras. I agreed and told them that I was also not provided a detailed receipt (just the credit card charge portion of the receipt).
Two days later they called and admitted that they had made a mistake to come get the money. When I asked how this happened and to see the camera, they stated that they just checked the register and pulled the receipt and didnât want to mess with the camera. đ when I asked to compare receipts, I noticed they had added in a few unknown charges. The cashier that rang us up that day is related to the owner đ§ I believe they are pulling money from the pockets of the community and into their own pockets. Son deshonestos y se aprovechan de la gente.
I have had to go back 2 times since and have left with more questions each time. Be warned. Desafortunadamente después de 20 años ya no tenemos confianza en el productos ni la palabra de este negoció. No...
Read moreThis was my go to place for candy and piñatas. I was a loyal customer for years. However, 3 days ago I went to purchase candy and a piñata and today when I was making the candy bags 3 different candies were short of the amounts advertised on the box/bags. I called to let them know of the issue the lady said that they were having those kind of issues with other candies as well. That she was going to take not to let her manager know to add them to the list of missing candies.
I obviously was planning for the amount purchased and my bags were shorted. I kindly asked if I there was anyway to fix this. And the lady kinda of laughed and rudely said âoh no thatâs not our fault itâs manufacturerâ. I said I understand but I bought them there with you not manufacturer. Now I have to go back and re-purchase something I already paid for. Then asked if could I get a small discount or something I have to rebuy. And again She said itâs not our fault we canât help you.
Sadly, this response made me upset and I wonât be returning. A simple, Iâm sorry to hear that let me talk to my manager and see how we can help. Even if it was replacing the 4 missing candies from each bag, or shown some sort of understanding wouldâve done it. But not what I was expecting after being a valued...
Read moreThis is our version of a local Mexican Costco, (only to a certain extent) but no membership required. Think of this store as a "Party World" store, Hispanic style. You can purchase everything you might need for your next party, or special event. They specialize in party favors from the "mantels" (table covers) to the candy needed for the "pinata". It mostly sells in bulk size, which is ideal for parties, covering most of your party needs. They specialize as an authentic Mexican store, so will often find that hard to locate brand or product.
It's not only a party supply store, but an actual mercado, with fresh fruits & vegetables, groceries and other stuff. If you have never visited El Loco, you really should. It's like stepping in to a day modern day mercado store, (local or Juarez) like the ones you remember from your...
