When my husband told me he wanted to take me to a place that made the #1 top best tacos in El Paso Tx. I really didn't think that they would actually be as good as he made it seem, since everyone is different and what one person thinks tastes good to another person it taste horrible. Right? Anywho when we got their and went it it was a small where they make tortillas and tostadas but infront they have FOOD! Well I tried three of their tacos a bean tostada and a tamal, yeah it was a lot of food but I love to eat food is my best friend and boy I sure can eat when I'm hungry.. I can honestly say I instantly FELL IN LOVE, out of all three things I got which are all good and it was hard to choose one I think that the tacos where just as good as my husband said they would be! Omg we love their tacos AND the people are amazing and boy do they get packed but its always fast ur in and out with the best food in town. I love going to that side of town and when we do we go get food from HERE! Every single time! No joke!! Even if its three days in a roll we gonna have their food all three damb days bcuz I honestly can day they are truly #1 top best place to get tacos and other thing in their menu! I highly recommend it...

Customer service is good but food and value not so much. Unfortunately I have to say that the burritos are overated and expensive, they are descent but not GREAATT! They are too hot and spicy (heartburn), very little filling, tortilla undercooked and the burrito is very small for the $3 dollar price. SO FAR, FOOD CITY (FOX PLAZA) IS STILL THE BEST BURRITO/TORTILLA PLACE ON MY LIST, THEY ARE LOADED, EXCELLENT TASTE, QUALITY, PRICE, AND VALUE AND LOTS OF VARIETY TO CHOOSE FROM, CHECK THEM OUT. La Colonial's tamales are descent but too spicy, very small, and have an overwhelming taste of lard. Too expensive at almost $2 a piece. SO FAR EL DORADO TAMALES ON ALAMEDA/NEXT TO CHASE BANK ARE THE BEST, THEY ARE LOADED, ORIGINAL, TASTES EXACTLY LIKE THE ONES FROM CHIHUAHUA AND PRICE IS A BARGAIN AT $1.30 EACH, JUST MAKE SURE TO ASK LADY FOR FRESHLY JUST MADE TAMALES. La Colonial Tortilla Factory is very clean, and employees very very nice and courteous but food and price not so...

I have come here twice recently, and nothing changed. The first time I came, in July, there was a line to order burritos inside, and the cashier had a bad attitude, I got my burritos, one brisket with cheese, and carne molida with beans, and the burritos were so light in portion I honestly thought an egg roll had more filling than the burritos. I came for the second time today, and there was only one person in front of me, that person greeted the cashier good morning, and the cashier didn't even say anything back, just kept asking anything else. When it was my turn I said good morning, and I didn't get a reply either. I ordered my food, and as I expected my burritos were so thin they look like flautas. So much about this place being so great, they don't even know how to serve, or treat customers....

It has been 20 years since I last had a burrito from La Colonial. I told my dad that I remembered a little place that made fresh tortillas and had a small burrito bar. He laughed and told me that they were still in business and still made delicious burritos. He told me the name was LA Colonial and that they opened at 7am. I showed up and walked in to see the same tortilla factory from my childhood. The bean burrito with chili con queso instantly took me back 20 plus years. It is still amazing as I remembered it. I remember the burritos used to cost 1 dollar. Times have changed because they are now over 3 dollars, but the flavor and quality are exactly as I remembered. I will definitely be visiting LA Colonial in the near future.

I saw them in the food network and they are supposed to be the best. I've been trying to buy from here for several months but it seems like they hardly open. Honestly I'm not impressed. The burrito portion is too small for the price and was mostly beans, it was not filling. The selection was slim, the cashier was pleasant, the person that gives you the food just threw my burritos my way, no receipt nor a thank you from the staff. Not complaining, but not sure what the whole hype was for.. if you are hungry look elsewhere because you will go broke ordering enough to fill you up.
