Food King — Local services in El Paso

Idk who's gonna read this but people need to have more compassion! A little bit before Thanksgiving, on the Friday before Thanksgiving, there was an old man in full blue hospital clothing asking for $2 for the bus fare, he was not drugged or drunk, he was sober and visibly tired and slow to walk because it seemed that his feet hurt, and he said his sister forgot to pick him up after he got released from the UMC hospital and he still had his hospital bracelet on. He said he was tired of walking around asking for help, he was old and tired, and there was real hurt and desperation in the old man's eyes when he told me nobody would help him, and i believed his story 100%. I believe he's just an old man in need of help. He is Mexican-American, about 5'6" to 5'8", he had a ponytail, a beard and white hair on both hair and beard, brown skinned/moreno, El Paso local accent. I really really hope somebody helped him get the help he needs. I hope nobody bothered him, i saw cartboys but i hope they left him alone, and that somebody helped him. The old man's hurt eyes stayed in my mind and keep in mind it could be anybody's family member....

I'm so glad you asked, my experience was an absolute nightmare. As soon as I walked into the store, my belongings were stolen, yes, someone jacked my purse. Yes, I was a little distracted making my poultry selection, but it only took a moment. When I looked up my "carrito" was gone. I immediately went to the front office to inquire about lost & found, but the ladies said no one had returned anything. I was frantic, and I asked if I could review the cameras, the reply was a quick no because the manger was "out to lunch", they just there and looked at me as if I was an alien. They asked no questions from me, had no resolutions, nothing. So I, had to fend for myself, I scanned the entire store, of course nothing, asked for the assistant manager, of course she was useless, I finally just left my business card with my information, my name, my phone number, and my email. This occurred yesterday 8/5/23 at about 12:00 PM,.... I'm still waiting for...

Been here too a few times! Prices are good and at an affordable price $. "I only wish they would hire more employees to get the job done". I feel as if there could be a bit more effort & work done here. Helping to keep our neighborhood market more organized, presentable & with better quality produce. "A must". I choose: "quality over quantity". "Check out lines" is my next topic.. I feel employees should work more & talk less. Specially when seeing lines are running long or when you have parents with children or kids waiting. "Hope you take this matter a bit more seriously and save us customers the time": Don't stand around & chat about something. People have responsibilities and other priorities to get back to in life.
